The Fightins...

I have never felt so good about a Phillies team in my lifetime. I have no doubt they will win the division by 10+ games and win the World Series this season.

For all the talk about the Cards, Cubs, Metrosexuals and Dbacks people fail to realize that the best team in the National League resides in Philadelphia.

i love statements like that when i'm on the Under 87.5 wins.

keep 'em coming

60 left to go with a tough division in the Braves and the Mets, plus interleague play will be tough at home having LAA, BOS, & TOR, while they have to go to OAK and TEX where even bad teams go about .500

...i think it's gonna be close, but i wouldn't have made the bet if i wasn't confident

The flipside to the argument is they always play better as the season goes on and the weather warms up and theyve been doing it so far WITHOUT the last 2 MVPs...

when JRoll gets back and Howard snaps out of his funk, watchout...

itll be scary what they can do if their bullpen can keep pitching like it is (top 5 in MLB)

Great come from behind win tonight...They have got to lead the league in those

at least i've learned that the Phillies never die from watching their box score every night. Still don't understand how the best team in the NL at this point loses when they outhit the other team at one point 13-4. Great win for the Phils, I was hoping for a 1-3 trip, but now I feel like i'm gonna be lucky if the Dbacks get a split before PHI goes to SF and gets their best player back. I do have JRoll on my fantasy team, which is just hanging on to a playoff berth right now without him, but I'm not excited because I figured this series would put them on the road to a bad week.

Realistically, I'm just hoping for the split tomorrow and the Giants not to get swept, but rooting for the Giants this year is like waiting for this guy...

It shows you how good the Phillies are. Few realize until they watch them play a bit. None of these pitching matchups in the Arizona series were favorable for Philadelphia, yet they are going to split with the D'backs on the road. Once Jimmy returns and Howard starts to play like the real Ryan Howard, the Phillies are going to run away with the East.

Hey Phil fans just curious how are you guys liking Geoff Jenkins so far? Havent really payed that much attention to him but he was one of my all time favorites as a Brewer. Hope he does some good stuff for you guys this year

Mixed so far but my opinion is improving. The guy does hit RHP pretty well. The guy plays hard so I don't have a problem with the guy.

I am assuming MCG that he is still a disaster against LHP? Wish we could have found a spot for him in Milwaukee. And thats why the fans of Milwaukee loved him, he went 100 percent every single day. Hopefully we can meet up in the playoffs (although the Brewers are looking extremely questionable right now)

My ideal NL postseason:Phillies, D-bax, Brew Crew and Dodgers

AL postseason:Rays, A's, Indians and Angels

I want Bud Selig to get the least attractive matchups possible.

this one was a big one:<object classid="clsid<img src=" images="" smilies="" biggrin.gif="" alt="" title="Big Grin" smilieid="3" class="inlineimg" border="0">

96!

67 at the break

should be a lot lower but Ill take having the division lead at the AllStar Break

bring it home boys!!

Tommorows game worries me but losing both of these games would have really hurt...So nice to be back in 1st though:smiley_acbe:

once the Cubs have finished off the Phils, let me know when you want me to change your title back to Phillies? Go the Eagles, emkee

Has CC's arm fallen off yet?? Hopefully he keeps that 7.17 career postseason ERA in tact...

And Yovani? Is he starting game 1? Is that the sacrificial lamb you guys are throwing out to Cole?

(In all seriousness though, should be a good series...last time the brewers were here - ya know...the 4 game sweep that resulted in Yost's firing (youre welcome, by the way) - we were tailgating with some brewers fans who flew in for the game...good guys and they really loved to drink...hahaha)

yeah Yovanni should be starting Game 1. Probably 90-100 pitch max for him. I would guess a yo/Carlos Villanueva tag team effort. Thanks for that sweep by the way. Love Sveum right now, but during that time Braun was attrocious, now he has got his power back so should be interesting. I am going to say phills in 5. Whos pitching Game 2 for you guys Moyer?

hasnt been announced yet...id throw Myers there just because hes either lights out or getting lit up and going against CC you might as well roll the dice and hope he shuts them down like last time he faced them and not waste Moyers 7+ innings of 3 run ball and lose 3-2
