The surprise to me is that they spent money on one in the first place. Can't they better spend the money on another offensive assistant?

Wonder how hard it is for Tech defense to prepare for rushing teams given what their offense runs in practice. Not defending the DC , just thinking it might be hard for them to practice for games against physical rushing opponents.

#1) this decision wasnt based on 1 game

#2) the starting offense never practices against the starting defense. scout teams are used to simulate opponents.
