He'll be collecting social security before he finalizes any type of retirement. I guess if people will pay he will comeback. I wouldn't mind having him as a QB coach but as a actual QB, i don't think so.
Although, in that division he may just look like a super star because new orleans is dead, in atlanta most the contributing veterans want to go elsewhere, and Tampa bay is losing personnel faster than enron. In the short term it is wise by carolina management because they know they can easily get to the playoffs with teh division their in and the quality of defense that they play.

I don't think people understand how bad David Carr is. Gary Kubiak runs a QB friendly offense and he tried to make it work with Houstons #1, pick but he just got so damn fed up that he saw it as a lost cause.
Carr completed a hell of a lot of short passes ( which padded his comp. %), but that was because Kubiak dumbed that offense down so much for him.
He said Carr was terrible as far a telegraphing passes goes, and making the same mistakes over and over that he ran that short shit offense.
David Carr is terrible.

David Carr is a dumb mobile quarterback.
As old as Testaverde is, I'd rather start him. He is one of the smarter quarterbacks playing, where as David Carr might be the 2nd dumbest ( to Tavaras Jackson).

He does all the little things wrong, so he is resorted to throwing the dumb check downs all game.
He is fast and mobile, but he holds onto the ball forever. Houstons line looks "cured" right after he leaves, because Schaub is a whole hell of a lot smarter and doesn't hold onto the ball forever like Carr.
People always thought it was the Texans line that was the problem, but Carr was the problem. He is worse than he looks, and he doesn't even look good.

If David Carr isn't mobile, then there is only 1 mobile quarterback in the NFL... Vince Young.
