Yes three amazing yrs, the fourth was nothing special. 1100 n 7 tds
 
Olandis Gary 1150 and Mike Anderson 1500 the following years.

Its called the o line was amazing

I can't believe he was voted in. As you mentioned Orlandis Gary had 1150 yards...in 12 games. Davis struggled at the beginning of that season w/out Elway and had 211 yards on 67 carries before getting hurt. Then the next season Mike Anderson rushed for almost 1500 yards in essentially 12 games played. in 2001 All 3 guys split carries and yards but in 2002 in comes a rookie Clinton Portis and he runs for 1500 and then almost 1600 yards his first 2 seasons. Then the Broncos traded him away and Rueben Droughns takes over as the starter and runs for over 1200 yards. They trade him away and go back to Mike Anderson and 5 years after his monster rookie season he runs for over a 1000 yards as the age of 32.

OL coach Alex Gibbs is who belongs in the HOF. It's a disgrace that Davis got in.
 
Yeah, pretty crazy he got in. I like me some TD too, but HOF worthy he was not.

And somehow T.O. isn't in the HOF yet. Fucking ridiculous.

No he isn't. I actually think he is a longshot and is a far better candidate for the college football HOF if he isn't already in.

Want a bigger disgrace....Tommy Nobis isn't in the HOF despite being the entire Atlanta Falcons defense for a decade.

Worse than that....Chuck Howley isn't in the HOF...the only Super Bowl MVP from a losing team...5 time First Team All-Pro....Not only is he not in the HOF he wasn't even put on the fucking ballot....not one single time. Now he will have to wait and hope the senior committee selects him and he is already 80 years old.

But Terrell Davis is in the HOF.

I don't have a problem with it. Dude was a cancer. Voters are telling us it's not just about production on the field I guess.

But it should be about production on the field. Him being a cancer is silly anyway, what the media tells us and what really happens aren't often THAT correlated. And there are plenty of dudes with suspect character in the HOF already, so that's a lame excuse if that's what some voters are going with.

AP isn't a choir boy, but he's not a cancer to his team. He's also a top 5-7 player at his position all time. TO isn't.

And TO is a choir boy compared to AP from an off the field perspective.
 
TO will get in eventually. His stats support it. I'm saying I don't have a problem with it this time around. I'm also saying there were other factors that prevented him from getting in. People aren't fans of his. They are fans of TD and Jason Taylor apparently. So how you treat the media, how you come off in public, how your teammates perceive you apparently does matter.

Can't have it both ways though...either it's all about what they've done on the field, or it isn't. If it isn't, then AP (and others) have just as much "baggage" as TO. TO was never really in trouble with the law either, was he? They should both be in if their stats dictate that they deserve it.

TO is easily a top 5-7 player all time at his position, whatchu talkin' 'bout Willis?

It should't matter is the point. No one is disputing how it actually works.
 
Owens is 2nd all-time in yards, 3rd all-time in TDs, and 8th all-time in receptions. Outside of someone just not liking the guy, how is he not a top 5-7 WR of all time?

And if you just don't like him, that's fine, everyone gets to have an opinion. Let's just be consistent and leave feelings out of whether or not a guy belongs in the HOF.
 
Now that I'm thinking about it...how in the hell is AP automatically a top 5-7 RB of all time? He may be, but it's certainly more debatable than whether or not TO is a top 5 WR of all time.
