Teams that bunt .......

let me guess.

Guy on 2nd, top of the 10th in a scoreless game and no outs? Next guy strikes out?

lol jpicks.

Just an overall belief that i have.

though rodriguez failed to get a bunt down for detroit tonight. and the seattle manager in bottom of the seventh in a 1-1 tie , pinch ran for sexson but did not bunt him over.

see it almost every night , ..... someone please tell these managers that it is easier for a bad hitter to slap a single and win you the game than it is for a great hitter to hit a double to win it or get runner to third .... or hit a homer. someone please tell them.

I really didn't even know Seattle has a manager tonight. How the hell does this happen?

Felix had given up 2 hits and 3 BB's heading into the eight. Don't you think they'd realize that he's ran out of gas after, idk, maybe the 4th guy got on base that inning? 5th? 6th? Looks like the 7th guy on base in one inning, one short of the other 7 innings combined, was the ticket.

JPicks,

sounds like the Ben Sheets start about a week ago where he was pitching a gem and then gave up like 6 runs in one inning, 3 HR's, because he clearly was out of gas... I'm just glad it was only fantasy baseball so i had no $$ on it.

Just happened again out in Anaheim...bringing up Vald who has hit into 11 double plays this year

Figures though, he singles

ya i didn't have any cash on the mariners game nor fantasy implications. just watching a little baseball. i'm just blown away at how some of these managers have jobs. it's crazy

What a way to end a game..walk in winning run on 4 pitches...didn't even need to bunt I guess. LOL

i can understand with Vlad though. Pudge on the other hand should have dropped down a bunt and at the very least send the ball to the right side of the IF. With Granderson and Polanco up next they surely would have taken the lead. Vlad can at least end it with one swing. Pudge, other than spring training, hasn't been able to end a game with one swing since he quit juicing.

Nah, I was referncing when Mathews was up one batter earlier and flew out. That brought Vlad up with the man still on first.

My bad. The #2 hitter in your linup, Matthews, should definitely be dropping down the bunt. Ecspecially when you're hitting 218.
