A buddy of mine has access to a $1000./sq pool and the organizer says "10% gratuity is expected" as all funds are paid out. Just curious, does this seem excessive to anyone besides me? What is a fair #? How much work/effort does it take to put one of these together? $10k worth?

That's not only highway robbery, but is blatantly illegal. Me personally, I would stay WAY THE FUCK far away from that. That is some shady shit IMO

Too far into negative EV to play but likely more on the up and up than the average $1K pool with no fee/gratuity.

I am not defending the 10% but it is more of a headache than you might think and some of the large pools have been busted in recent years I think. I could be wrong on that.

Don't play it, is my advice.

What I mean is that most criminals are stupid. it is very third or fourth level thinking to ask for 10% and then walking with all of it or fixing it.
