Well, I am very pissed at Oakland for costing me a couple of dimes, as I obviously had the right side of the correlation on the total, and it paid about 3-to-1... but the A's couldn't do their job when they had their chances, and they had them more than the Jankees did.
Very frustrating way to finish the night and I am quite sure my negative attitude carried over to the bar. First time I had ever been so I could use that as an excuse too but how else can you not get laid when there are 600-plus people in one place?
Ugh.
Onto today, where 33 percent of the games - or 6/16 if you counting 2 PIT games.... are called.
In the 1:00s...
Contreras yielded seven runs in one-plus inning on Opening Day against the Indians; but worked six innings and yielded just one run on four hits Monday night during a 4-1 victory over Oakland. Contreras struck out four and walked four, throwing 66 of his 105 pitches for strikes. He gets a chance to exact a little revenge Sunday vs. Cleveland.
Sabathia has won five straight starts against the ChiSox and is 13-3 with a 3.68 ERA against them in 21 starts. Sabathia went seven innings against Anaheim in Milwaukee, giving up three runs (only one of which was earned) on 10 hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. He worked himself out of several jams.
No opinion, but lean ChiSox at this price - it's too high...
