BOS -134. D.Mat look good last couple games,tonite game went the distance so bullpen belong to BOS
Under NYY look very good with C. Wang on the mount.
Why not with CLE . Byrd began in to good form against J. Towers.
CWS with Vazquez against Silva.
CUB with Z but too much juice.
Riding under Cub with HILE, why not?

oh.. and LAA to win looks good... LAA I think are a team desgned to beat the Yanks.. they play decent D, ther SP are very good, as well as their bullpen.. they move runners, the hit and run... i just love it when they play the yanks... and the only reason why they didnt win game 1 with colon is bc they had to fly all the way from texas to make this game...

I try to find games that I like on bodog's early line that are close to pinnacles. Yesterday's was DEt -150, closed at -168. IMO CLE at -125
is a play because Byrd is decent and CLE will hit Towers. I don,t think the line will move below -125. The OAK -180 will move up but game stinks.

M. Oswalt has been saved by his pen & bats for 2 straight starts.

His ERAs in his last 9 starts have been 5.14, 7.50, 1.29, 6.00, 4.50, 4.77, 4.27, 1.29 & 5.14

Remarkably, he has 1 win in his last 10 starts (3 losses, 6 no decisions). Given that clearly indicates he's been leaving most of those recent starts up to being decided by his pen, it makes him a dodgy proposition when you consider that pen got wasted in Saturday's game.

problem is the Mutts starter.

Took Pitt for 1 unit. Briefly Cubs this year vs lefties on the road are 3-9. Cubs with Zambrano have lost 4 straight vs Pitt giving up 6, 5, 7, and 6 runs. Marte, Capps, and Chacon the 3 best Pitt relievers were rested Saturday and the team just seemed to put very little effort in the Saturday game which seems odd for a team that is now 7-3 last 10 at home and 6-4 last 10 at home vs Cubs. Zambrano has been pitching super recently hoping for an All-Star berth which did not come. Took 121 pitchs last game which does not seem to matter to him but I have to think that pitching at a site where he has given up 5 runs 3 games in a row makes him possibly a little dicy for this game. scratch the over..I think both Boston and Detroit might just want to get out of town.

lot's of teams/players will have that on their mind today. whether they're going to the all star game, or for some overdue r&r.
leaves the door all the more open for the strange and unexpected...

Getting the Angels at almost triple the money (2.80) is a must take if you ask me. Yes Santana is a road kill but of all stadiums he pitched well in NY.

Add the fact the Angels are, as someone said, designed to beat the Yanks with their small ball philosophy. I'm aware some teams will probably want to get it over with so they can go home and rest for a while but since we can't know which ones, I will neglect that factor. Also add the fact Wang is 0-2, 5.40 ERA against the Angels in his career.


Also looking at the Pirates and Seattle, early leans only.

but on the other side, i think the line was set like that with a purpose.

halos have been limping a bit too...the m's have been closing in. and after today, they might be fortunate they weren't swept...short of an outstanding performance from Lackey/Sheilds/KRod.

halos are the one team in baseball w/ a winning record against the yanks this century, but it's only 36-31. what's more significant are the two playoff series.

anyways...santana has never been like this on the road, until this year.
and another factor is that both sides are planning on resting some regulars, which brings in a whole other issue in terms of capping this game.

so, i'm not saying to lay that chalk...jsut saying there are better games out there to play. good odds doesn't necessitate a play all the time...

I realize that, but since both teams might rest regulars and knowing these numbers, it somehow adds up to the Angels being a (small) play here.

I'm leaning Pittsburgh, think I will skip Seattle after all, even though I do think Feierabend will be way better than he has been so far, just thinking of skipping it.

Looking at the over at Coors hard as well. Cook has been shelled in the past by the Phillies (0-2 with a 6.87 ERA in three career starts against the Phillies, all at home), his home ERA YTD is 5.84.

Eaton on the other hand, well look for yourself:

Adam Eaton (7-5, 5.67) tries to snap his longest winless stretch of the season for Philadelphia. He's 0-1 with a 6.46 ERA over his last four outings despite pitching effectively Tuesday, giving up three runs over six innings in a 5-4, 13-inning loss at Houston.

The right-hander went 3-0 with a 5.68 ERA in his first three starts at Coors Field from 2000-01, but is 1-5 with a 7.80 ERA in his last eight outings at Denver.

10.5 seems right if you ask me. Phillies will fight to avoid the sweep and the Rockies surely can't put their trust solely in Cook's performance, thinking they score a bunch themselves.

Seeing this one as a 9-6 type of game.

Tex has been out for weeks so thats irrelevant. He's probably gonna start a rehab assignment after the ASB. Hairston has been playing every day at 2b since Kinsler went down and will probably hit leadoff again as Lofton is still nursing a minor nick. Lofton probably could play if he had to but seeing that its the last game before the break they'll probably just sit him again.
