Okc cavs tough call. Cavs playing at high level and in best form this year. Okc off loss to atl where they were over matched. Okc plays better d and the mighty duo will get their looks. If cavs form continues they win this. I'll probably play cavs if anything.

I'll like the Cav's also and IMO this game should fly over the Total. This game is a big test for Cleveland and OKC is going to look to run and gun. I'll play the Cav's until I feel the books catch up and I don't think they have yet but IMO they're getting close I thought this line would be -1.5/2 with a lower total

I played the under. I really hope Cleveland wins. I think Westbrook does have an edge here. About the height but 7 pounds heavier and just Tough. Cleveland looks a little deeper. But the under trend here is 4-17 last 3 years and off a 10 point loss OKC who is taking these games very seriously is 2-5 under this season. seems to agree with refs who are all under for the season. Do not forget Cleveland as a favorite is 12-19 under this year. Good luck with the side.

he's on houston
No idea about him but I am certainly thinking about laying with GS. Boston is coming in off 2 road wins against Western conference teams and this time unlike the first 2 I see no favorable trends so far for them. GS state last 5 on 1 days rest is current 5 -1 ATS losing away once and is 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 home games. Just have seen 2 trends favoring Cleveland. May use them in a parlay.

Thinking Dallas ML. I pointed out in another post that in every NO b-b game sequence. They lose one game. They play at home tomorrow vs Philadelphia. Interesting theory at any rate

Just one man's Opinon

No problem with tends but the last 3 years Cleveland was a completely different team. I do believe that Cleveland is 12-19 to the Under but I also believe it's a possibly it's a different team the past couple of weeks or so. As for tracking Refs there are ref's that like to call fouls and some let players play but I can't take that into consideration because I don't know the teams where they were Ref's. Lets take Scott foster as an example this year so far he's 14-20 but last year he was 45-36 and the year before he was 46-33 so IMO and just my IMO I don't look at ref's unless I know certain Ref's don't like certain teams or players and that information is few and far between and very hard to obtain.

So in short trends are a useful tool but the subsets most times are very small. But the Total is moving towards the Under and now back towards the Over. Wish you luck and that's what makes it fun a difference of opinion is always a good thing. Cleveland has gone Over 4 of last 5 and OKC 4 of last 6 have gone Over IMO things do change during the course of the season and taking stats for the whole season with the injuries OKC has and with LBJ out a while is tough. Personally I break the season down in 3 Parts like baseball I break that down in 4 parts. Now I'm rambling so I'll wish you the best of luck. :shake:

4 winning days in a row,,, so close to being even in the nba...

clev 3rd qtr over 50.5 - xl

1h nuggz over 102 - large ( waiting on lineups, lawson should be playing)

Small play on Milwaukee. Not exactly clear why. Pounding which always seem to push the Spurs has this at 6. Box scores on the Laker game seemed to show a Spurs team that almost did not care. Its 4 in 6 for the the Spurs an old team and Milwaukee may have woke up yesterday.

Played under 201 in Atlanta. Really do not see Minn scoring much as they beat Atlanta badly last time they played and Minn and play at OKC tomorrow who beat them by 19 at Minn

Ref angles coming into play a lot more now. Always pays to check who's carrying the whistle before making a play.

Can you expand on this? I can see refs records ATS on home and away teams, and all the generic shit you get over at blankets, but I'm interested to hear what you are looking for and if you have notes on certain refs. This is something that plays a small role in my capping, basically, because I don't have a game plan to attach it. Any info you can share would be much appreciated.

one of my sites has mil +12...i do not get this line.....mil 7-5 and could have won all 5 of the losses although none of those losses were to teams like the spurs...sa 9-3 last 12 and definitely on the upswing (shocking) Not sure if me falling in love with mil or trying to convince myself that sa is old but 12 points to a pretty good team in good form....i'll take 12

gotta agree with tuck on my c's as they have won two games by one point and they played well on offense and their d actually showed signs of life in both those games....mirage i'm sure....wish it weren't such a big line....more pondering but i think gsw could win by 30 if they put effort out there....not sure why they would though

wash looked really lethargic in the second half last night....i think they were fatigued and now they go to denver on a b2b....i'm playing nuggs maybe wash 1st half

looking at tor

Don't mean to be controversial jusy an opinion but Ref's belong in the same category as days of the week. Unless you know Tim Donaghy it's really a non-issue. Just an opinion.

Ty Lawson (personal) will play against the Wizards on Sunday.
After missing Friday due to an arrest earlier in the day, he'll likely be back in his former role. Lawson apologized to his teammates and has already spoken with coach Brian Shaw. If you added Jameer Nelson based on his impressive Friday showing alone, you can probably reconsider. Jan 24 - 3:43 PM

I think ref stats, like everything else, need to be placed in proper perspective. It's fine to say "Referee X" is 10-2 to the over, but if all his games feature high scoring teams like the Warriors or the Mavericks, I'm not sure how much stock you can put into that.

What is instructive, I think, is how many fouls each referee typically calls in a game. Again, that also has to be placed into context in terms of the teams involved (Knicks are dead last in FTA at 17.7 because all they do is settle for mid range jumpers instead of going to the hole, whereas teams like the Kings and Bulls have guys willing to do the dirty work down low and take it strong to the rack).

You get a ref like Haywoode Workman that lets the guys play, you get fewer fouls called per game, fewer free throw attempts, and subsequently less inflated scores. Get someone like Bennett Salvatore, however, who calls just about everything, you're going to get guys backing off on defense and a lot more trips to the line to help the scoring.

Again, it's not a big part of my handicapping process, but just like baseball umpires and their strike zones, I think you do have to be cognizant of how a game's likely to be called and how it might affect the outcome.

Suns may have become a serious fade. Being out rebounded by 19. Yet another slow start. I did not play GS rest imbalance too great

Hugh,

Thank you for the input. Makes a good deal of sense, I like your pespective - will add to arsenal.

Paulie - That's what my thought process used to be. However, Emkee, who is a damn good capper, brings it up quite a bit. Therefore, I'd like to know how he is incorporating the refs.

Smh
Knowing the teams is key. More so then anything else I'm a situational capper so unless you chart ref's and what teams they Ref getting it from Statfox doesn't do anything for me. But that's what makes wagering on sports so great everyone does there own thing and of course u try to keep sn open mind to try and get better and learn other stuff. I agree emkee is excellent
Please excuse mistake on the treadmill again :shake:
