Stidham QB

Wolfeman

Enjoys Full Moons
Don’t count this guy out…. Dudes one of the top backups in the league and would absolutely be a starter on some current NFL rosters. I can’t say he’s a major drop from CJ or even Maye. CJ at Mile High would be turnover central. Denver’s defense and Stidham traveling to NE (EDIT MISTAKE) Pats -6. Gimme those points.
A Texas kid and Baylor product, plenty of wisdom at age 30. Lacks experience…. But this is where Sean Payton the best coach left in the AFC imo will make it nice and easy for the QB who needs to just control the game with no turnovers and let this Broncs defense dominate. **what I do foresee as an issue is the Den WR depth. Ouch. Sutton looks like an average #2. Bryant and Franklin would be #2-3 (both out) #4 Humphrey dropped a sure fire banger and #5 Mims is a fantastic return man but..
TE also hasn’t been a piece of this offensive game plan all season, Surely could use Dobbins back but we stuck with Harvey and McLaughlin….which is going to work here imo. 💡

I’m awaiting the opponent and line but I’ve already heard WAY too many times this run is over without Nix… anyone heard of Nick Foles?

If NE wins I expect Denver to be -1.5 which makes that difficult

Not sure the 1 seed can be dogged at home against anyone. Probably a low possession, game management approach from both teams. Same with Houston if it's them.

Broncos defense #3 overall and Texans #2

You’re right KJ… I actually was thinking Denver would travel to NE…

For next week's Conference Championships, FanDuel is offering:
(Bets are void if matchup does not occur)
NE -4.5 @Denver OR Hou -3.5 @Denver

OU 40.5 OR O/U 34.5

Rams +1.5 @Seattle OR Bears +6.5 @Seattle

OU 48.5 OR O/U 46.5

NFL doesn’t want a backup playing in the Super Bowl. In fact, had the NFL knew Nix broke his ankle, they would have reviewed that interception and called it a catch for the Bills to advance.
Can confirm as a Jags fan that Super Bowl QB matchups matter to the NFL for obvious marketing reasons. It didn’t even matter how well Bortles was playing at the time.

Is the best support for Stidham just college school names and age of 30?

It’s the TX people. A lot think highly of Stephensville HS and the Baylor offense.

I’ll believe it when I see it

He was solid at Auburn. Was the qb right before Nix actually. Still think it’s a pretty big drop off though. They’ll be a sizable dog.

He can move a bit but he’s not the runner that Nix is. Hes won games though in Raiders and Broncos before and always plays very well in the preseason. Hes capable. The reason I think they’re done is that the defense is cooked.

I’d love value in the game but Stidham is not even in the top 10 of backups. He’s bad. He’s had 4 starts. Not good starts. He would not start for any team in the league, Jets included.

Coach Says Not To Worry!

“He’s ready,” Payton said. “I said this before the season, I feel like I’ve got a two that is capable of starting for a number of teams. Watch out. Just watch.”

Stidham not a major drop off from Drake Maye huh
Maye is 23 years old….lets see how he fares today before everyone crowns him King. He’s gotta hell of an Oline, RB’s a plenty and a fantastic HC. Curious if anyone has watched Stidham in preseason games…dudes legit I’m telling ya. Payton will scheme up something special… aloha

Does everyone think CJ Stroud is head and shoulders above? That was the comparison….🤙🏽

Love the conspiracy stuff as well,,,, you guys are silly, and the earths flat!

Maybe an agenda, but the league is not going to arrange a Broncos loss just because of their QB’s name. Hahaha! 😂 And the landing on the moon was fake!

It’s always been quite prevelant to me over 30 years of this business that teams ABSOLUTELY step up when dealing with an injury. Watch this “cooked” defense next week drop the hammer. Houston won’t get to 17 points…im still curious on NE and the barely legal Maye. He could prove me wrong but I would predict NE TT 20 at Mile High.

Just my thoughts, I’ll 100% be backing Denver next week and anything over +4 is a gift. My ONLY concern is the WR situation…UGLY. If I was drafting I would take Caleb Williams over Maye at this stage of the game…that guy has some skills and a higher ceiling.

Have a great day enjoy the games….

Wait did I just read that Stidham was not a major drop off from Maye ?

Wow ..Maye is the MVP.

Good luck to an to anyone who bets Denver to beat either Houston or New England.

Best of luck brother Wolfeman , but I think the Broncos get drubbed next game ..

If Stidham plays Houston , Stidham Interception will be my biggest bet of the playoffs .

Very telling how little evidence you give in support of your claims and how you provide an "out" for yourself. Have a great day, man.

So preseason games matter more than regular season games? I don't get it. Maye is the second-favorite for MVP, he deserves more respect than a guy who hasn't thrown a regular season pass in like two years and has been bounced around from team to team.

As much as the NFL loves going to commercials (they went right to a commercial after the opening kickoff of the Denver game) they said they wanted to move the game along after the controversial catch/interception. The whole season is on the line in OT and it’s called a turnover on the field but no review? Pretty bizzare not to at least let both teams feel they took their time to get this call right.
Here’s what else I’ll say. The NFL doesn’t know what a catch is. Both feet in bounds is a catch. It’s not a catch when both feet and knee hit the ground and the ball comes out. Ground can’t cause a fumble but the ground can cause an incompletion. Incredible ignorance when you need a football move after possession and both feet inbounds. It’s pretty simple. If you have possession and 2 feet inbounds, it’s a catch. Whatever happens after that is the continuation of the play. You hit the ground, no fumble and no incompletion.

Every year they make the rules more subjective , when it comes down to these plays that may decide the game , whatever they want will happen ...It's long looked more like sports entertainment than football.

They definitely reviewed the play. It didn’t take long to see the call on the field was correct. Whether we agree with the rules or not (some are very vague and downright dumb), Cooks had to maintain possession and survive the ground, which he clearly did not.

McDermott, in his press conference after the game, kept saying he thought they should have taken more time to review the play…but why? One good look at it, and they easily determined the call was correct and it was an INT. They aren’t going to “take a longer look” just to make you feel better, it was an obvious call that took seconds to determine.

Very telling how little evidence you give in support of your claims and how you provide an "out" for yourself. Have a great day, man.
Are you serious ?

Yes my point was Stidham is vastly underrated, and not a big step down from CJ. Added Maye as an unproven and young QB, and the whole world turned upside down!! The thread went completely off topic….

What does “very telling” exactly mean UVA? Never mind, not even interested in the drama. “Have a great day, man” seems passive aggressive and annoying. I’m going to pretend you lost your cool for a second and ignore… I’m certainly not here to prove anything with evidence I’m not a lawyer or a cop, hate to argue. I do come here to have a good time and escape life’s issues with my passion for handicapping NCAA sports and following closely the professional events. Cheers 🍻

With aloha (sincere on that aloha,) and yes Denver is +6 as predicted and will be just fine next week with Stidham….and one of the best around Coach Sean Payton.

Before I get jumped again hahaha… 😂 I don’t see anyway the AFC has an edge in this Super Bowl. Have some fun everybody, too much other serious events in the world…, enjoy the NCAAF Big Bowl tonight!

Texas HS is the QB Factory in the country…. The development is top shelf (again just my opinion) as a QB in Texas 6A is going to see the intensity of an NCAAF game during the season. Cheers Twinkie 🤘🏼

Yeah I just don’t know if you really believe that a backup journeyman QB isn‘t far off from an MVP candidate, but you‘re the one creating drama brother, I meant have a great day like you did, sincerely. Just tacked it on at the end of my message to reciprocate. Aren‘t your laugh emojis intended to be passive aggressive and annoying? Otherwise nobody‘s losing his cool. Let‘s all take it easy and have fun, like I said earlier I appreciate someone trying to be positive about Stidham

Maye….4 fumbles an interception and 187 yards passing. 😳😜 Bottom line though, he won the game 👍🏼. Certainly not MVP numbers, but playoffs are a different animal. Don’t get me wrong, I have Maye 2nd best QB from that draft class just a tick below Caleb Williams.

Just making sure we’re paying attention to what only one other person in this thread replied to….

“I can’t say he’s a major drop from CJ”

What’s another puzzling thing is how everyone seems to have an opinion and know how bad this 4th round patriots pick back up is…when he hasn’t played a down. That same naive approach seems to be eliminating the Donkeys from advancing to SB60. I’ll stress yet again as with every QB …a top detail for success is the HC/OC/QB relationship. Take a look at Maye’s success under Josh, and at last season’s Kingsbury (stud imo) with Jayden Daniels run to NFC champ and ROY. BJ and king Caleb in Chicago is exactly what I’m saying the difference a coach and system can make. Payton and Nix is also why I think Payton/Stidham had a real chance to pull the upset here of 6 pts. A game plan, some confidence with his O line cohesion, a few breaks or two and lookout. I’ll be on Broncos +6 🤙🏽 & ML. But what do I know 🤷 :)

This may or may not surprise some folks that one of the best evaluators of talent in the league (especially QB) Coach Payton ensured Jarret Stidham $7 million guaranteed to not go anywhere ☝🏽 Homie makes $12 million over two years 😳 Naaah mean? I think someone might have mentioned he was bottom 10 of backups which is 100% not true. I believe someone else claimed he couldn’t start for the Jets, Browns, or any other NFL team…also 100% false. Fake news. The guys been a name mentioned by scouts and coaches and the Saints, Browns, Falcons, Jets, Giants, Colts, etc etc etc would have loved to have had him start this past season. The NFL is hard core and “journeyman” players even have their own Progressive commercials….(my opionion again) it takes a helluva athlete, body, intelligence level, dedication and straight up leader of men to become an NFL backup QB making $6 million without taking a snap so far. This isn’t Dillon Gabriel… this is a seasoned player who’s been coached up since day 1 in the Texas inter scholastic leagues and Division one Baylor and Auburn for NCAAF

Mr Stidham played 2 seasons for War Eagle in the toughest (at the time) conference in the country SEC. Well among all those rivals and powerhouse programs…ole boy Jarret lead Auburn to the SEC West title 2017 and Liberty Bowl win 2018. 20-10 all time with 48 TD’s/9 TD’s rushing and only 13 INT in 3 seasons among the elite. *Drafted by Belichek 4th round 2019

I guess I’ll be the only one standing on lone island out here in the pacific…. lmao 🤣 repeating “Do not write off or underestimate Stidham and the Broncs this Sunday.” He’s a top tier backup, he would start for others, and if a couple breaks go his way…….with some great game management and the Defense I expect to show up will lead Denver to the Super Bowl.

I would see Broncos as 9,5 point dogs should the reach Santa Clara against either Seahawks/Rams…

A bud from Philadelphia just asked me who to compare Stidham him too for his blog/article…. Also laughing that I brought up CJ and Drake telling me I’m incorrect. Mac Jones seems close. ☝🏽

Long live the legend of Nick Foles and the next man up attitude every man carries in character….Orange Crush will be flying in the no fly zone.

Take care good people

I can fucking assure the Saints didn’t want him to start. You didn’t watch the Saints this year at all.

You’re the only one on this planet who thinks this is an obvious call. It’s this lack of common sense to understand that the entire season is on the line in this overtime game. It’s called common sense to slow this down and show these teams that the proper steps were taken to review this, OTHERWISE you don’t have this controversy.
I’ve learned that common sense isn’t common any longer.

I can fucking assure the Saints didn’t want him to start. You didn’t watch the Saints this year at all.
😳 huh…. I LOVE the Saints and they’re my favorite NFC squad. “Didn’t watch”: cmon bud you know nothing about me or what teams I follow or watch. Yeah, you right man. The Meters and George Porter Jr are friends of mine, I’ve been to 7 Jazzfests in Nawlins…third line, funerals, maple leaf, crawfish boils with locals that last 3 days, TIPS, New Orleans is my favorite city in the US .

Tyler Shough was one of the best surprises of the season!! Love that guy. However twinkle what I was referring to was Mr Spencer Rattler..and 100% the Saints were interested in Stud man pre season as a starter…, before he was guaranteed the $7million from Denver.

Get you an Abita and relax … Saints were fire second half. Lots to look forward to.

Kirk Cousins, Jimmy G, Anthony Richardson, Jameis Winston, Mac Jones, Mariota, Andy Dalton, Malik Willis, Jacoby Brissett, Sam Howell, Minshew, Tyrod Taylor, Tanner McKee, Drew Lock, Kenny Pickett, Mason Rudolph, Davis Mills, Tyson Bagent

Just a quick 18 man list of backups I'd rather have starting Sunday. You should see these guys in the preseason.

I'll take Mitch Trubisky too ..He's looked very good in practice here , and had a great week 18 ..

NE is also a regional and national brand. They would be a better outcome to be in the SB rather than Den because they would be better for the TV audience.
