Best of luck!

GOOD to see you posting here, Metallica. always respected your opinion at "that other place" :shake:

BEST series odds in Las Vegas are Capitals +130 @ Westgate and William-Hill with VGK -145 @ South Point and Cantor Gaming

exacta odds
VGK in four 10-1
VGK in five 5-1
VGK in six 9-2
VGK in seven 7-2
Capitals in four 15-1
Capitals in five 8-1
Capitals in six 9-2
Capitals in seven 5-1

to win the Conn Smythe BEST odds are:
Fleury -140
Mardhessault 25-1
Karlsson 60-1
Neal 50-1
Reilly Smith 150-1
Huala 300-1
Perron 500-1
Ovechkin +160
Holtby 8-1
Kuznetsov 25-1

Oshie 75-1
Backstrom 300-1

IF the VGK WIN the Conn Smythe is obviously Fleury. they do NOT get here without him. they could even LOSE the series as long as it was in 6 or 7 games that were all low scoring close like the Anaheim Ducks goalie JS Giguere in 2003 vs the New Jersey Devils. IF Capitals WIN it is probably Ovechkin because he is their long time captain and leader although Kuznetsov has one more point BUT one less goal in the playoffs. he also scored the OT GWG to close out the Penguins in that series. do NOT count out Holtby with his B2B shutouts to close out the Lightning series and a 1 GA 2-1 (OT) win to close out the Penguins @ Pittsburgh that series. he also won four straight starts after replacing Grubauer in the Bluejackets series when they were down 0-2 and looked like they were headed for yet another early elimination

I'm only a casual follower, but to my eyes Vegas have the better man in goal, but Caps have the much bettwe skaters

THAT is the way I see it too. Marc-Andre Fleury 12-3 in these playoffs with 4 shutouts (2 vs Kings & 2 vs Sharks) and 3 one GA games (1 vs Kings & 2 vs Jets) 1.68 Gaa and .947 save% BUT the Capitals with
Alex Ovechkin 12 goals (4 on PP) 10 assist for 22 points, Evgeny Kuznetsov 11 goals (3 on PP) 13 assist for 22 points with TJ Oshie 7 goals (5 on PP) 8 assist for 15 points and Lars Eller 5 goals (1 on PP) 8 assist for 13 points

also as previously posted Braden Holtby NOT "chopped liver" in goal either with shutouts his last two games vs the usually high scoring Lightning "Bugs". chanced his 8-1 and Kuznetsov 25-1 as Conn Smythe long shots IF the Capitals WIN the Cup :shake:

player to score most goals in Stanley Cup Finals @ Cantor Gaming

Alex Ovechkin 3-1 (12 goals in 19 games)
Evgeny Kuznetsov 3-1 (11 goals in 19 games)
TJ Oshie 6-1 [cg] (7 goals in 19 games)
Lars Eller 12-1 (5 goals in 19 games)
Jonathan Marchessault +320 (8 goals in 15 game)
William Karlsson 7-2 (6 goals in 15 games)
James Neal 10-1 (4 goals in 15 games)(25/175)
Alex Tuck 12-1 (6 goal in 15 games)
FIELD 4-1

I chanced "high odds" Capitals TJ Oshie 6-1 (25/175) and VGK Alex Tuck 12-1 (15/195) just because of Oshie's 7 goals 5 are on the power play and Tuck is a classic NHL "garbage man" who lead his team in power play goals with 3 . of course BOTH Ovechkin and Kuznetsov are the obvious favorites with their numbers :shake:

something for the VGK to think about and I am sure former St Louis Blues player David Perron will remind everyone. from the Blues wiki page >>>

the St Louis Blues joined the NHL 1967 along with "second six" teams Minnesota North Stars, Los Angeles Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins and California Seals. they made the Stanley Cup Finals their 1st season because all the "second six" teams were in the same Western Division while all the original six were the Eastern and again in 1970 for the same reason. of the "second six" they were "the dog with the least feas" and were SWEPT in their two Stanley Cup finals by first the Montreal Canadiens and then Boston Bruins. they have NEVER, EVER been back to the Stanley Cup Finals AGAIN!!! so the old CBC HNiC song "The Chance May Never Come Again" is oh so TRUE :(

the GOOD news IS the VGK are 6-1 @ "Fortress T-Mobile" in the playoffs and SHOULD be 7-0 ex for a dis-allowed on bogus "goaltender interference" 1st OT goal by Jonathan Marchessault in game two of the Sharks series, they were 29-10-2 regular season and were 5-1 their last 6 home games at the end of the season. they have also WON four straight games in TWO series, the sweep of the LA Kings with two shutouts by Fleury and "reverse sweep" of the Jets after losing game one with two 1 GA games :)
