Hm, I would need some additional explaining about this "to win" or "risk" things, you see I'm not American and we don't use such things here, it's only about the stake here.
Ok now, I'm 3 hours before the first pitch, so if anyone can help me out until then I'd be grateful.
I would like to take LA Dodgers (Penny) and the opening line is -154 if I'm not mistaking. What now?
Can I stake 1 unit on LAD -154, is that fine?

Pretty much a regular
you would be staking 1.54 units to win 1 unit
or 3.08 to win 2 etc etc
If your play is a dog +130 lets say, you would be staking 1 unit to win 1.3, or 2 units to win 2.6
Say your card looks like this
-150 loss
+120 win
-175 win
-120 loss
all were 1 unit plays your record for the night would be 2-2 -0.50 units

Alan you can use up to 5 units total on multiple plays, not just one. You can not RISK more than 5 units in any one day though, or wager more than 2 units on a dog, or win more than 2 units on a favorite.
