I can't help but want to fade Kyle Wilson, over and over. Especially now that he lost his security blanket Devonte Booker.

I like Georgia State. Teams playing in their first bowl game (ever) seem to play with a little more bounce and energy. And it doesn't hurt that they've been on a roll lately, 4-0 and +92 points ATS.

ATLANTA Georgia State quarterback Nick Arbuckle has just the matchup he wants in the inaugural Cure Bowl.

Even though Arbuckle was an undersized tight end and a backup QB at St. Bonaventure (California) High, he felt the sting of getting passed over by San Jose State.

"I do remember when San Jose State came multiple times to recruit some of the guys on the team and I was one of the guys they didn't look at," Arbuckle said Tuesday. "So it feels kind of good to have an opportunity to go against them now."

Hard to say but I'd be surprised if New Mexico wasn't sky high for this. First bowl game since 2007 and on their home field no less. An opener of 12 now sits at 9 so I'm not the only one thinking that, which concerns me but...New Mexico small.

My guess, not very. Think that bodes well for the over as a team that isn't super motivated may not want to defend the option for 4Q, especially when they are the type of option team that relies so heavily on big plays, lose focus and they can and will burn you. Pressly especially, he is pretty awful seemingly for vast majorites of games but then goes for HUGE gainers.

Read this today: Travis Wilson has one last chance to prove that he can complete over 50 percent of his passes when he doesn’t have Devontae Booker standing next to him in the backfield. Wilson is 23-of-52 passing for 218 yards, one touchdown and one interception since Booker sustained a season-ending knee injury against Arizona on Nov. 14

Utah / BYU will be fun.

Although both BYU and Utah coaches vowed to avoid controversy, it reared its head at a Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl welcome reception Wednesday night.During a dance-off event, Utah defensive tackle Viliseni Fauonuku took the microphone and addressed BYU's team.

"BYU, y'all are a good team," he said, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. "But you're a dirty team. Don't start nothin', won't be nothin'."

BYU, the Mormon school whose athletes often go on religious missions after graduation, has come under fire recently.

Basketball guard Nick Emery was suspended for a game for punching Utah'sBrandon Taylor earlier this month. That came after BYU linebacker Harvey Langi was caught on film punching a Utah State player, BYU offensive linemanUlui Lapuaho punched a Boise State player in the groin and BYU defensive lineman Bronson Kaufusi rolled the leg of a Nebraska player.
