I'm actually more interested in bets that aren't on the board.
Rockets finally get a rival they can actually beat. Wizards will try to stop the moving Clippers train and Memphis and Bulls will meet again in the battle of the defensive titans...

From the released lines, small leans to Cats and Portland. Charlotte would have been a play, but I don't know what I would want to bet less. Kings as road favorites (how on earth can that be) or Charlotte to get second win straight...

As for Portland, Bucks won in Phoenix, while Portland trying to stop the bleeding, losing 4 games in a row.
Portland played really well three of the four losses and could have easily won in Denver and at home against the Thunder and were just too tired, playing three in four, B2B from OT in Denver - so Cleveland hammered on them.
Today they off a rest, see Dallas and Lakers making their run and know that they can't allow this one to lose.

Chicago at home on Saturday

Early leans on:

Memphis. Hopefully Randolph is in. They need wins after losing 3 straight. Chicago off OT and might have a hangover off the buzzer beating win

Portland needing some wins and finally have some rest with no travel

Weird laying road chalk with Sac, but Charlotte off a tough game and a Win. 2-6 ATS off a win, 0-5 last 5.

Without Curry, the dubs haven't shown ANYTHING, particularly on offense. NOla getting better and played them tight at GS. If currys out, NO and under seem like sure bets for me

Nothing big stands out yet for me

Rockets get their win tonight. Minny lost Pekovic and he is 50% of this team. Probably the most underated played in the league at the moment.
Rubio, Ridnour and Kirilenko won't win the Rockets tonight imho.

that injury is my only hesitation on Minny

No Bulls line yet tonight, but Luol Deng has swelling around his hamstring, and judging by the comments made after the win over Boston, it seems extremely unlikely that he will play tonight.

4.5-STAR Golden State +5 over NEW ORLEANS - Golden State comes into this one in real need of a win. While they've lost five of six now, their schedule over that stretch has been absolutely brutal. Even though they are banged up we expect they have targeted this game to try to get with two more elite teams up next on the schedule.
Golden State is on the second half of a weekend back-to-back here. The Warriors are 8-0 ATS (9.6 ppg) since November 27, 2010 as a road dog on Saturday after playing on Friday.
They lost last night 95-88 to San Antonio. The Warriors are 9-0 ATS (13.1 ppg) since January 15, 2012 when playing the second of back-to-back road games after losing the first.
It was a game where they led by double digits in the first half. The Warriors are 6-0 ATS (12.2 ppg) since January 05, 2011 with at most one day of rest off a loss as an away dog in which they led by 10+ points.
The 95 points they allowed were 11.5 less than expected. The Warriors are 8-0 ATS (10.1 ppg) since February 29, 2012 on the road after a loss in which their DPA was negative.
Klay Thompson had 21 points in that game and they were led by David Lee with 22. The Warriors are 13-0 ATS (9.8 ppg) since March 05, 2012 on the road after a loss in which Klay Thompson was not the Warriors' high scorer.
New Orleans meanwhile is coming off a surprising 90-78 win in Boston. They overcame a healthy deficit in that game. The Hornets are 0-7 ATS (-9.6 ppg) since May 02, 2003 as a home favorite with at least one day of rest off a win as an away dog in which they trailed by 10+ points.
That was also a big defensive effort allowing 17.8 points less than expected. The Hornets are 0-8 ATS (-9.6 ppg) since April 29, 2008 at home with at least one day of rest after a double digit win in which their DPA was minus 15 points or less.
They found success even with just 12 assists on 31 baskets in that game. The Hornets are 0-8 ATS (-11.4 ppg) since December 06, 2005 with two or more days of rest after a game on the road in which less than 40% of their baskets were assisted.
The huge difference was their 26-6 scoring edge at the foul line. The Hornets are 0-8 ATS (-11.1 ppg) since November 05, 2008 as a favorite after a game in which their opponent shot less than 60% from the free-throw line.
SPORTSBOOK BREAKERS PREDICTION: Golden State by 3
4-STAR Golden State and New Orleans Under 188 - With the Hornets as a defensive oriented, low scoring team, Golden State would be the ones normally looking to push this over. However, they've had no rest. The Warriors are 8-21 OU (-4.8 ppg) since December 12, 2009 when playing the second of back-to-back road games. Look for this one to stay under as well.
Golden State lost last night but kept things close with defense, 95-88 against San Antonio. They committed just nine turnovers while attempting 84 shots in that game. The Warriors are 0-6 OU (-5.9 ppg) since December 12, 2009 as a road dog with no rest after a game on the road in which their field goal attempt per turnover ratio was at least eight.
New Orleans is coming off a 90-78 win in Boston. The Hornets are 0-7 OU (-13.5 ppg) since April 18, 2000 after a road win against the Celtics.
New Orleans had 17 turnovers and just 12 assists in that game. The Hornets are 0-11-1 OU (-17.5 ppg) since March 26, 2003 with two or more days of rest if not an 8+ point favorite after a game on the road in which they had more turnovers than assists.
Boston actually had three more baskets than New Orleans in that game. The Hornets are 0-8 OU (-15.6 ppg) since November 09, 2010 with at least one day of rest after a win in which they made fewer baskets than their opponent.
The difference was a huge 26-6 edge for NO at the foul line. The Hornets are 0-6 OU (-4.9 ppg) since February 28, 1998 with two or more days of rest after a double digit win in which they scored more than 25% of their points from the free throw line.
That helped them overcome 2-of-17 three point shooting. The Hornets are 0-6 OU (-10.8 ppg) since March 15, 2000 with two or more days of rest after a double digit win in which they scored less than 10% of their points from the three-point line.
These teams met last in December with Golden State winning 103-96. Ryan Anderson led New Orleans with 28 points in the loss. The Hornets are 0-9 OU (-12.7 ppg) since December 01, 2012 after losing the previous matchup in which Austin Rivers was not the Hornets' high scorer.
SPORTSBOOK BREAKERS PREDICTION: 179 points
4-STAR UTAH over Cleveland - Cleveland picked up a hard fought win in Portland last night. That's no easy task and that took every this Cavaliers squad had. They have a real lack of depth as is and it really catches up to them in games like this.
Utah meanwhile is going to be well rested and prepared for this game. Due to a scheduling quirk, they have four days rest coming in and three days rest after. The Jazz are 6-0 ATS (5.2 ppg) since February 19, 2008 when playing an isolated home game (2+ rest before and after).
When they last played on Monday, they defeated Miami, 104-97. That despite 54% shooting from the Heat. The Jazz are 7-0 ATS (13.9 ppg) since March 05, 2008 at home after a home win in which they allowed at least 50% from the field.
The key was dominating the available boards with a huge 40-23 edge. The Jazz are 8-0 ATS (5.9 ppg) since March 07, 2007 at home after a home win in which they controlled at least 60% of the available rebounds.
Al Jefferson led the way with 23 points in that game. The Jazz are 6-0 ATS (10.5 ppg) since March 16, 2011 at home with at least a day of rest after a win in which Al Jefferson was the Jazz's high scorer.
Kyrie Irving really shouldered the load for Cleveland last night, scoring 31 points and 13-of-24 shooting. The Cavaliers are 0-5 ATS (-3.5 ppg) since February 21, 2012 after a win in which Kyrie Irving took more than 20 shots. SPORTSBOOK BREAKERS PREDICTION: UTAH 108, Cleveland 93

Wow -- all but one of those went under by more than 10 points.

im playing atlanta, the team really impressed me in the two games vs brooklyn

devin harris and teague are playing really well

I can't believe that Hornets line. I understand that New Orleans is playing better, and I made them a favorite, but 5.5? Are you kidding me? Maybe one of the rare games that I side with the public. THis is a really difficult card, and I got a late start, so my picks and opinions will be trickling in lster thaj isiajk

just have an uneasy feeling that the hornets have a bit of a letdown

warriors d aint easy to play against anymore

  • Both starting lineups were in flux an hour before game time. Bulls forward Luol Deng was out of the game due to a strained right hamstring, but Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau was circumspect about Deng’s replacement. Asked if backup small forward Jimmy Butler was going to be the starter, Thibodeau said, “As of right now.” Asked about his other options, he said, “I’ve got a lot of choices.” According to starting lineups issued half an hour before game time, the final decision was Butler, although he could have used either backup power forward Taj Gibson if he wants to go big, or backup shooting guard Marco Belinelli if he wants to go a little smaller.
  • Memphis coach Lionel Hollins said he expected Zach Randolph to play after missing Friday’s game with a strained right back. “Let me qualify that,’’ he said. “He said he is going to try this morning. I guess it’s a game-time decision. If he plays, I won’t be trying to limit his minutes or anything like that. If he is ineffective then I will certainly not keep him in the game.” Marreese Speights played in Randolph’s place Friday night and scored 10 points with nine rebounds. Again, the lineup issued 30 minutes before game time said Randolph would start.
  • Butler played 25 minutes Friday in Boston as Deng left the game in the third quarter because of the hamstring. Butler finished with 13 points and four rebounds. “He did a solid job,’’ Thibodeau said. “He understands what he has to do.”
  • With their victory at Boston Friday, the Bulls are 12-5 on the road, by far the best road record in the Eastern Conference and one of the top three road records in the NBA. The Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers were both 13-5 on the road prior to Saturday’s action.
  • Some Bulls fans are wondering if the entire starting frontcourt will split the vote for All-Star reserve consideration. Deng was a first-time All-Star last season and is averaging 17.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game this season. Center Joakim Noah is averaging career highs of 12.4 points and 10.8 rebounds per game, 2hile Carlos Boozer has 11 double-doubles in his last 12 games and is averaging 16.2 points and 10.0 rebounds. Boston coach Doc Rivers endorsed Deng and Noah for All-Star consideration Friday night.

  • Golden State will be without forward David Lee, who injured his left ankle at San Antonio on Friday night. Coach Mark Jackson said Carl Landry will start in his place. “We got Carl for his ability to come off the bench, at times start, at times finish,” Jackson said. “We’re very confident in Carl’s ability to fill that position and give us a legitimate chance.”
  • The Warriors’ Stephen Curry will start after being listed earlier in the day as questionable with a right ankle sprain. When asked about Curry’s limitations, Jackson said there were none. Well, almost none. “If there’s any limitations it’s the ones that I played 17 years with, so he’ll be fine,” Jackson said.
  • Expected Warriors starters: (F)Landry; (F)Harrison Barnes; (C) Festus Ezeli; (G) Curry; (G) Jarrett Jack
  • The Hornets’ Al-Farouq Aminu has helped New Orleans win six out of the past seven games by being aggressive on the boards. The starting small forward is averaging 7.9 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.9 steals in the past seven games. His teammates have seen a difference. “He’s playing aggressive and he’s being more assertive,” Hornets reserve forward Jason Smith said. “He’s not playing tentative. He’s going out there to be a game-changer and I think he’s really taken that to heart.”
  • New Orleans guard Eric Gordon will start against Golden State after being held out of the Hornets’ Wednesday game at Boston with a sore right knee.
  • Expected Hornets starters: (F) Aminu; (F) Ryan Anderson; (C) Robin Lopez; (G) Gordon; (G) Greivis Vasquez
