Highest home total opener for Indiana this season. This for a team delivering home Unders at a 71.4% rate. What's on the surface?

- LA has scored at least 109 pts in 4 straight games (avg. 118.0 ppg), and at least 98 pts in 15 of 17 games (avg. 109.7 ppg). On a 9-4 Over run L13, and 6-0 Over run L6 on the road.

- Indy has scored 110+ pts its last 2 outings, bout the only offensive standout for them.

Underneath the surface, on Indy's part...

- Indy is 9-0 to Under (avg. 173.7 ppg, avg. line 188.5) & 7-2 ATS / 9-0 SU (avg. pts differential +15.77 pts) when opening as a single digit home Fav this season. Indy has conceded an avg of 79.0 ppg in this spot, and the only team they've lost to ATS being Toronto (twice).

Contrast this with their being O/U 6-6 (avg. 189.0 ppg, avg. line 190.0) & 7-5 ATS / 11-1 SU (avg. pts diferential +17.27) when opening as a double digit home Fav this season. Indy clearly takes weaker opposition easier on the defensive end, conceding nearly 8 pts more against them per game (86.6) than when they're lined a single digit Fav.

- Indy is 5-0 to Under (avg. 176.6 ppg) @home vs +.500 teams this season. The highest individual total they've conceded in this spot is 84 pts, to Miami & Toronto (avg. 81.40 ppg against).

Underneath the surface, the Clippers have a clear dichotomy going when it comes to scoring on the road...

In their 2 meetings in Indy since CP3 joined the Clippers have totaled 191 (188.5 = Over - 62 pt 1st period) & 190 pts (192.5 = Under - 51 pt 1st period), games which saw only 2 of 8 periods total more than 49 pts; to get an Over with a total near 200 you're obv. going to need 3 of 4 periods on average total at least 50 pts.

So, LAC is naturally lower scoring (relative to game lines) when visiting the East, and now faces the premier defense of not only the Eastern Conf. but of the entire NBA. And it's this reality meets Indy's highest home total opener of the season to date. Line is down half-a-point already. I wonder why.

Utah off a big win in Detroit and can easily come today just to get their 10+ points loss and go on to the next game...

Golden State played a very draining game last night via the Thunder. Score was 127-121.
Golden State then had to travel over 700 miles to New Orleans late last night.

Game tip off last night was 6:38 PT... Tonight 5:08 PT, 22 and a half hour turnaround. This will also be heir 3rd game in 4 nights.

NO hasn't played since 1.15..

GS has Indiana next so there is also a chance for a lookahead.

Bad spot for GS tonight..

Great insight BC. My number is 193, and I hit the under last night at 198.

My numbers say Sixers, Bobcats, Minny, Portland, un Hou. Dallas, who plays Portland is in a tough spot. Played a tough game last night, returning home tonight playing their 8th game in 12 nights, including 3 in 4 and 1st back from a 2 game road trip. After tonights game they hit the road for 3 more. They aren't young and they aren't deep.

Great info BC. When I was putting it in at 197.5, my local juiced it to 115. Never get juiced totals. Hope it's a good sign!
