Ryan Perrilloux under Federal Investigation

reNew Orleans

Clubbin' with Rasual Butler
Under federal investigation, local news hasnt announced what its about but rumor has it, it's for credit card fraud and he will no longer be part of the LSU football team. That just leaves Matt Flynn.

LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux is the subject of a federal criminal investigation out of New Orleans, said Baton Rouge attorney Nathan Fisher, who has been hired to represent Perrilloux.
Fisher said he could not comment about the nature of the investigation, but could confirm that the investigation is taking place.
Perrilloux has not been booked on any charges, Fisher said. The Baton Rouge attorney also said he is unaware of any pending hearings or other court action scheduled to take place in connection with the investigation.
"I don't think it would be appropriate at this time to comment any further," Fisher said late this afternoon.

I heard something along of the lines of using counterfeit credit cards in a New Orleans casino...

Lesson: Don't mess with the Horns!

This kid has had bad karma since fuckin' us.

A recap of his college career:

1) Highly touted QB, some ranking him as the #1 player in the class
2) Commits to Texas
3) Changes Commitment to LSU
4) Threw his name in for the running for the Heisman his Freshman year... but that wouldn't get national media, just running his mouth when he shouldn't.
5) Under Criminal Investigation

Bad Karma indeed.

He's been another Maurice Clarett from the get-go, except that Clarett actually help tOSU win the NT.

This Ryan P. kid has been trouble from the get-go.

Good riddance.

Bad news for the Tigers. There's a rumor going around that up to 40 players are connected with the counterfeiting scam, and that Ryan P is going to rollover on the ringleaders.

The bad thing about law enforcement getting involved in these deals, much like the pending Reggie Bush fiasco, is that the NCAA can piggy-back on their subpoena power. And with the Freedom of Information Act, a enterprising journalist can get a hold of the subpoened documents. It's going to get interesting in Baton Rouge.

OK have known about this for four days now
ALOT of misinformation is out there

Basically, it is suppose to involve counterfeiting "we heard bills"
8 people are involved from my understanding

Only one is a player on the LSU team......Mr. Perilloux

The rumor mill is wide open
Read yesterday a guy from Bama gave him the bills and the guy checked out of the room Saban checked into when he got into town

Its not good whatever it is

Speaking of scum
Billy Cannon the only Heisman winner from my great university comes to mind. Maybe Perilloux dug up some of Billy's old suitcases.

Billy Cannon was and is the biggest disgrace LSU ever knew.
Yet he still gets brought up in positive terms.

That is just another example of believing none of what you hear and half of what you see.

lol local news report said something along the lines:

His high school coached talked to Perrilloux's mother, the coach reported that Perrilloux's mother told him Perrilloux unknowingly used a counterfeit $20 at a gas station, which the clerk refused to take after finding out it was counterfeit and he exchanged it for a real $20.

right.

Les Miles is so damn dirty. DT Brad Girtman form Okie St. was our security guard at the club and he told me how Le$ Miles influenced him.

No surprise both Barksdale and Tolliver will be going there when both had street agents and no big program would touch them.

the Barksdale kid is a complete trainwreck...

Saban may have lost his integrity, trust etc with his latest move but the guy recruited quality guys at LSU. Not athletes with sick abilities only but all around solid classy hard working intelligent student athletes. That is something that I feel was the biggest difference maker in what he received from his recruits.

Past coaches have brought in big name players with academic and behavioral issues and ultimately it brought the program way down.

I really hope you guys are wrong about Miles.
Most of the people around here are starting to come around to him.
I still have plenty of doubt before Slingblade gets my endorsement.

This from your board Horn...pulled from BN..

Just got this from a Texas grad colleague who belongs to the Texas Rivals board (requires membership, otherwise I'd link it).
Usual grain of salt caveat, but it certainly wouldn't shock me. Here's the text of the post:
"Sometime before the Sugar Bowl someone gave him a duffel bag of cash in exchange for some LSU autographed stuff and game tickets. He spent the cash in New Orleans. Turns out it was all counterfeit. Feds picked him over the weekend and he is cooperating with them. Nothing is being released until later this week, but the Feds are now in Bama talking to a Bama booster who's car RP identified as being in BR when he was given the cash. The Bama booster had paid for dinner using a credit card in Birmingham in a hotel that Nick Saban was staying at 2 nights before the meeting with RP took place. The Feds plan to make an arrest in Mobile later this week and RP's involvement will come out at that time. Both LSU and Bama are being investigated as to what other players at LSU know about the deal, who else may have been involved, as well as the ties the Mobile guy has with both Bama and Nick Saban.

RP is currently in Birmingham with the Feds, and all announcements from them will come from there. LSU is waiting as long as it can to comment. Louisiana media have sworn to make no comment until after the feds make theirs. The NCAA is in Baton Rouge and there is talk about forfeiting the ND Sugar Bowl game despite Perriloux not playing.

Evidently Jimbo Fisher told a few people bits and pieces about what happened before he left town, and is part of the reason why he took the $215,000 pay cut to leave."

Sorry to ruin everyone's fun and discuss it from an actual football perspective, but I don't think Flynn is much of a drop-off from Russell and with all the speed they have on that team, I wouldn't want to see them on my schedule. Perilloux is supposed to be a pretty athlete himself, but a team like that doesn't really need a running QB, just somebody who is not a dumbass and can read a defense.

Their defense is going to be nasty...again.

I am not thrilled about having to go there (SC) , They sure are going to be dangerous and verrrry fast next yr. Beatdown awaits!

If they land McKnight and Jones, those are some kids who can play right away...
