Pretty much a regular
Always some good info in this thread....

Red Sox over 91.5....reasons in gabe's thread on teams we follow but the short version is they have won 93 two years in a row and this years version has added JD and is healthy (pedroia, bogarts, betts, price all fought season long injuries last year) and has better management (we think)

Cubs over 94.5....cubs motivated once again and have added darvish to a rotation of lester, hendricks and quintana....schwarber healthy and in good shape and could break out and ian happ could be a stud leadoff hitter if he leads off (never know with maddon) better team than 2 years ago when they won 104

I never play these but agree the Red Sox one looks good.

I think cardinals could fly over their number. Biggest concern is pen blowing games early in season cause the most talented relievers all have options so I fear that in spots where Meyers and hicks electric stuff should be entering game instead it be bud Norris and Luke gregerson, ugh. Hard to complain about having amazing depth but also not interested in their triple a club winning pennants! Lol.. they did some things this offseason that should help some the positional log jams they have, roster def constructed better than it was last 2 seasons. They still need to find a way to get and keep Jose Martinez bat in the lineup, unfortunately the only way to accomplish that is by having carp play some second and third and his defense is rather suspect at those positions. It will be interesting how they go about the pen with all these kids having options, I think we will see them building up lot of frequent flyer miles between Memphis and the big club. Once they get it worked out the pen which been a real problem could potentially be a strength nobody is talking about! There no shortage of talented arms that for sure. Just a matter of getting that talent the playing time over some these garbage vets they have overpaid the last 2 seasons, namely Cecil, gregerson, and Norris!!

Thing about cubs is cards and brewers have drastically improved over where they were 2 years ago when scrubbies won 104.. pirates have gotten way worse but think reds are also on the rise. West and central are both pretty loaded.

2DB....Agree cubbies in a division that is strong, about the only thing that causes me to hesitate....agree on cards being a good over, the are way to good of an organization (best in baseball imho) to squander the talent they have and they are very well managed from top to bottom in their organization, last year was an anomaly

These are my current thoughts....please input if anyone has an opinion

2x

sox over 91.5
cubs over 93.5
rox under 82.5....very tough division
giants over 81 if i can get it....bum and smargi will be back....hesitating on this one
cards over 85

1x

fish under 64.5....aaa team
nats over 93.5....poorly managed but stacked
lad under 96.5....clubhouse issues galore but also stacked
nyy under 94.5....starters very suspect and closer will blow many games
tor under 81.5....they always underperfrorm

Copied this from my article: The team that is most vulnerable is the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs tried to repair their unreliable bullpen but still show gaping holes, with one signing including injury-prone Brandon Morrow and another Steve Cishek, whose FIP is nearly .6 higher against lefties than righties. The outfield lacks consistently productive players and the pitching rotation is due to implode. Kyle Hendricks’ velocity is trending downwards, which indicates wear and tear and general vulnerability. His 3.03 ERA last year is masked by his 3.88 FIP, meaning that he was lucky. He’s due for statistical regression. Yu Darvish is a year removed from Tommy John surgery and is unlikely to recover from his slide in performance last year. Jon Lester is aging and also struggled last year. Tyler Chatwood is unlikely to help matters much with his struggles with command and high walk rate.

I really like St Louis this year but I didn't want to pay the ridiculous juice Station Casinos had on the over. Went with Mets Under and Phils over.

Cub just won the thread.

I see it doesnt take more than a 70 iq to do that lmao. Derailed the thread for his own laugh. Cubs‘ closer hardly has a long proven track record and the starting pitching is filmed with age and other questions and the pen still looks vulnerable and yea Cards and Brewed are better

Nothing wrong with being a contrarian with the Cubs. Thats probably where the cash is. Idk.

I follow the Bosox pretty closely. I love virtually every position starter, LOVE, but one. Pedroia. I know he is healthy but he and Price own the dugout and they are both freaking weird as shit. Its great they got rid of the Farrell ego, not sure what Cora will do with the alphas, but I wont back them long term till I get a better feel. They wrecked team chemistry last year.

agree price is weird but pedroia won't hurt the clubhouse and all the studs are saying they know they had an issue last year and they are trying to make it better this year and Cora already snuggling up to all....sox should be real good
