LEANS (finally a good looking card)

Seattle Mariners (Hernandez) +1.5 (-160)
Seattle Mariners/Boston Red Sox Under 8.5
I was shocked SHOCKED to see this total set this high. Ridiculous. We have two of the best pitchers in the game going in this one. The Mariners have an underrated lineup but should have trouble in the early season matchup with Dice K. Maybe a couple runs but I see another quality start out of MAtsuzaka. On the other side, the boston bats wont be seeing jeff weaver again. Hernandez is done with the sophomore slump and should come on hard this season. I fully expect Boston's overrated lineup to struggle. This has all the makings for a close pitchers duel. Should be a great game, I'd be surprised to see the total set this high by tomorrow afternoon.
Tampa Bay Devil Rays (Shields) +145
Tampa Bay Devil Rays (Shields) +1.5 (-145)
Tampa Bay Devil Rays/Texas Rangers Under 10.5
This is a very strange line. Yes Tejeda pitched a good game last start but lets not get ahead of ourselves. Texas is IMO one of teh worst teams in the AL this season. Yes, their bats ahve done well the first two games in this series but Shields is a much better pitcher than the shits previously tossed out at them. I give the pitching edge slightly to Tampa and the batting edge to Tampa as well. I will gladly take plus money. It also shouldn't go near 10 runs.
Milwaukee Brewers (Bush) -110
I like the pitching matchup here. The Fish have to cool down
Washington Nationals/Atlanta Braves Under 9
The Nationals are going to struggle to put runs on the board and Jerome Williams is an underrated pitcher. I expect a low scoring ballgame
Arizona Diamondbacks (Owings) -135
Love those Baby Backs. Lets see what Owings can do outside of RFK.

like the plays. Tejada has pitched well in his two starts against the d-ray but I didn't see who played those games. Half the lineup is different so maybe that play is money. BOL

not sure if I would back Dave Bush outside of Milwaukee he was awful on the road last year and looked like he was throwing bp to the Cubs in his first start....the King will beat the Daiske love that one

GL and yes it was finally nice to get CC out there, that bullpen tried to give the game away though

Careful w/ the TB/Tex Under, as TB is 7-0 to the Over so far.

Love your writeups and plays, and GL

love the seattle play. and i also really like the tb/tx under...jsut haven't played it.

as i was tellign hunt earlier...tb has played all over this year. and sheilds is the one SP, besides kazmir, that i think could contribute to a TB under. it's gotta happen sooner or later. but so far, i'm jsut too chicken to buck that over trend myself. hope you nail it tho, bud.
