Rochclone Week Two

rochclone

Pretty much a regular
Saturday was an absolute disaster. For people that have followed me in the past I usually get out to a quick start so this is slightly uncharted territory. Hopefully a better week is ahead.

Thursday:

Arizona -7.0 (2.2 Units)--UTSA benefitted substantially from forcing six turnovers last week. The Cougar rush offense was not existent and I think Arizona is going to be able to establish the run this year. Arizona gashed UNLV last week for 353 yds on the ground and over 430 yds in the air. I like UTSA and I think they will have an opportunity to contend for the C-USA championship this year. But unless Arizona commits over 4 turnovers I don't see the Roadrunners holding them below 38 points. And the Wildcats looked good against the run against UNLV last week giving up only 119 yards. Great night for San Antonio and UTSA with the public spotlight and this would typically be a position where you back the home dog. However, it for those reason (and only those reasons) that this is not a 3.0 unit play. Everything points toward a big win for the Wildcats.

Arizona 41 UTSA 21

Friday;

Pittsburgh -4.0 (0.6 Units)

Washington State -2.0 (3.0 Units)

Thoughts on ISU this weekend? Bounce back in a big way? Or just too undermanned?

Frank they are just such a hot mess right now. Starting tackle Jacob Gannon quit yesterday. Imagine that Jake Campos (4 start) RS FR will get the start in his stead. From a situational standpoint this should be an Iowa State play and I imagine I will end up being on ISU +11.5 or +12 at .6 Units to 1.2 Units. The offense has to improve this week. Quite frankly the Offense looked good the first 18 minutes until Farniok went out. At that point it was 14-0 Iowa State. However, I'm just not a strong believer in Richardson at QB and the defense can't hold up if it has to constantly be on the field. All that being said, I believe very strongly in Mangino as an offensive coordinator and I do not think that Kansas State's defense is as good as last year. Gun to my head Kansas State 34 Iowa State 27.

Thanks for your insights. I too love Mangino but just wondered about him having the talent to work with, especially given the recent losses on offense.

thanks for posting all your plays, Roch.
This is very helpful to me when I finalize my card on Saturday mornings.
Like you, I play many games.
