Wednesday's Game:
Georgia Southern -7.0 (1.8 Units)--
Arkansas State TT Under 24.5 (3.0 Units)
I would love to back the home dog here but I just can't support it and the reverse line movement this afternoon obviously has me concerned as well. However, Georgia Southern is a very good run defense giving up 78 yards per game. Arkansas State can't do anything on the ground this year and so immediately ASU is one-dimensional. They also have not been able to protect the QB to this point giving up 14 sacks through 4 games and this from a veteran line (returning all five starters from a year ago). Will ASU be able to move the ball through the air....more than likely however if you take Central Arkansas out of the equation ASU is averaging 220 yds in the passing game against FBS schools. I don't seem them getting to 24 points tonight unless Georgia Southern puts the ball on the ground. I made this at -10 in large part because I believe that Georgia Southern has beat better competition in South Alabama at a higher number. The loss against WMU last week stung but that is a damn good Bronco team and Georgia Southern played fairly well only losing by 18 points and being -4 in the TO margin. I think we see a 31-17 or 31-20 type of game tonight.
