A quick writeup... -

Listen, everyone. Tiger's getting long in the tooth. It's fun to root for someone who finally realizes it's time to spend time with your kids and girlfriend out there, but to think there's value in betting YES on this, you're just betting with your heart. I've known the guy who has created the golf market for the industry out in Vegas (works at the Hilton) for a decade. He opened this at -110 both ways and I thought he was nuts; had NO at about -150/+130 and my friends at betonline laughed at me and told me the line was bad. So who knows; they're betting Tiger hand over fist. I'll just have to pay to see him beat me.

There are a few guys I like, and they are all listed above in the OTW. I am fading (from the A and B+ list of players): Adam Scott, Jason Day, Henrick Stenson, Jimmy Walker and of course Rory McIlroy. Rory's a great player but the pressure of completing a career grand slam might be too much for him here. I've written bets for a couple of friends (about 4 units worth) at 5-to-1 so I'm already sweating against him without bothering to bet anything myself.

GL and back Thursday night!

Ouch

I am keying Adam Scott, Jason Day and Jimmy Walker this tournament and bet on Stenson vs DJ as well, who I faded

Enjoy the tourney, health on the wagers

Good luck CKR. Like kj, I am targeting a few that are on your fade list

I wanted to go against Scott, but I will wait until he's no longer allowed to use that cheating putter.

Seems I'm swimming against some of y'all this week. Not enjoyable; we'll see how it plays out.

ps - the archaic television rules are still only slightly better than they used to be. ESPN Deportes often shows more coverage than the normal networks in a lot of tournaments (for example, if CBS has coverage from 3-7 on a Sunday, they will often show from 12-7, with the first 3 hours coming from the Golf channel or whoever). In this event, no coverage starts until 3 pm Eastern today and tomorrow. It's borderline insane. I know people who would take off work tomorrow to watch this shit if they put it on at 9 or 10 am.

Friday matchups nothing stood out at open. There are a couple of PM plays now.

Mickelson +137 med 2u vs. Rory
Holmes +120 small to med 1.5u vs. Snedeker

7343 Els +120 small to med 1.5u vs. Na
7346 Mickelson -135 med 2u vs. Casey
