Rest of the 2017-2018 season NBA Discussion

For yesterday’s incident regarding Patrick McCaw and VC, I don’t think it was intentional. I see a lot of people saying it was dirty, but I think it was just unfortunate.

As for the Rockets, when do they start resting starters since they got the western conference locked up?

nba and tuck have to be all over Indiana, no?

For me, they have the history in the matchup too on top of being a dominant Sunday team.

Yes I’ll be on Indy but mostly because they’re playing well and the only one with heart on the clippers is deandre

People just need a reason to start stuff on social media. VC has always portrayed himself as classy human being. Can’t remember any instance on or off the court he was involved in.... anyone?

Hope McCaw is ok.

Alright, the last few games of each teams season coming up.

13 games on tap Tuesday.

Damn shame Memphis couldn't even tank right, if anyone needs a pick it's them.

Grizz front office are butchers.

Taking a position now on New Orleans -13 -110 for tomorrow night. I just want that number. I can toy with it.

#MIAvsATL INJURY UPDATE: Goran Dragic (ankle), James Johnson (ankle) & Dwyane Wade (wrist) have all been ruled out of tonight’s game vs the Hawks.

Gonna take the Hawks +7

So what the heck happened so far in the NBA tonight?

Wizards pulling a Wizards.

Blazers scrubs go on 17-0 run to tie game...lmao...

Wow.

Tyronn Lue tells LeBron James to 'stop point shaving' during last night's win.

"Stop point shaving the first three quarters -- bout to give me a heart attack," Lue said. "If you play like that from the jump we win by twentysomething."

respect you emkee, but the context of that sentence makes it clear it's a joke and plee from the coach

C's good with 2 and go from there

this year is earn experience and gravy, next year is the all in year with EC finals win expectation or bust... provided health.

All good gsro.

I totally realise it was a joke by cLUEless, just though it's funny because he does actually shave at times.

Bron is a point-spread master.

Bulls don’t want to win this game. Would potentially fall behind NY and then tie with the Nets/Cavs pick with a win.

Gonna be interesting to see how this Denver game goes given the loading of the spread, Nuggz a pick into a -4.5 road fave.

the race in the west is exciting

today i'll be on the Hornets +2 & ML

The pacers are basically locked in to the 5th seed. The cavs aint losing to the knicks twice...

The hornets are actually giving effort.... and although they are coming off a 37 pt win and the pacers are coming off a big loss.... i'll ignore the 50 pt swing play

Casspi released from the Dubs... feeling bad for him... bad combo of his and Curry's injury really left Dubs without any other option...

It's tough for Casspi because he took the league minimum to join the Dubs and make his first ever playoffs.

Was really the McCaw injury that caused his predicament.

It's a business though and the dude has cost me some bucks with his garbage time non-heroics.

So nah, don't feel bad for him.

Numbers crunch.

It really sucks for him because he took less money to be with a contender.

Sorry, didn't see you post :shake:

Im wondering if Miami is trying to lose to get the 7th seed and play Boston.... no way?

I obviously think that’s dumb but just thinking out loud

Would think the heat would rather see philly although i do think we matchup well with boston considering there offense is not that good.....

Knicks +12 – Cavs motivation? I can see them resting players and LeCramps mentioned they only want to be healthy for the playoffs and given they play the Knicks at home on Wednesday.

OKC -3.5 – looking to secure the No. 5 spot, along with N.O. and Spurs.

Pelicans -7.5 & o226 - LAC are out of the playoffs, but Pelicans are fighting for the No. 5 spot. Doc Rivers mentioned about still competing and continuing to protect the league, so the over looks enticing. Worse case 1-1 here

OKC -3 – They’re also fighting for the No. 5 spot and again who does Miami wants to see in the playoffs?

Does anyone see a scenario where the cavs dont win the east?

Nobody knows how the Cavs will be defensively but they can flip the switch and shut down opponents. Lebron is playing as good if not better than ever before. So scary.

the raptors need to prove themselves because their post season woes from years past could come back......

The 76ers could be a threat but their inexperience will be their downfall imo.

Wizards & bucks don’t have the coaching necessary to be successful. The bucks defense is atrocious.

West Update
Utah clinched its playoff spot with a win over the Los Angeles Lakers, and will finish with the No. 3 seed if it wins its final two games.
That means now it's down to five teams - Oklahoma City, San Antonio, New Orleans, Minnesota and Denver - vying for the final four Western Conference spots.
And the only seeds that are locked up remain at the top, No. 1 Houston and No. 2 Golden State.
The Jazz haven't played a Game 1 of any series at home since the West semifinals in 2007, and haven't played Game 1 of the first round at home since 2001. And after losing Gordon Hayward last summer, plus starting this year 19-28, this postseason berth represents nothing but an amazing job by Jazz coach Quin Snyder.
Plenty of clarity in the West race should come on Monday. Oklahoma City, San Antonio and New Orleans can all clinch spots with victories, and Minnesota can also secure its first postseason spot since 2004 with a win and some help.
East Update
Philadelphia will open the playoffs at home for the first time since 2003, after clinching no worse than the No. 4 seed with its win over Dallas. The 76ers - now winners of 14 consecutive games - will finish No. 3 in the East if they close with wins over Atlanta and Milwaukee.
Indiana remained in the mix for a top-four seed as well with its win over Charlotte.
To reach No. 4, the Pacers will need to win their finale against Charlotte, and need Cleveland to lose both of its remaining games against New York. Otherwise, Indiana will be the No. 5 seed.
No. 1 seed Toronto beat Orlando in a game where the Raptors departed with some injury concerns - Lucas Nogueira strained a hamstring, and Fred Van Vleet left with what the team said was relatively minor back tightness. But the Raptors remained ahead of Golden State in the race for the NBA's second-best record (and potentially home-court in the NBA Finals if Houston falls).
Monday's Games
- Toronto at Detroit (7 ET, NBA League Pass): The Raptors held DeMar DeRozan and Jonas Valanciunas out Sunday, and more resting of regulars is likely.
- Oklahoma City at Miami (7:30 ET, NBA League Pass): There will be playoff intensity. Thunder trying to clinch their spot with a win, Heat trying to hold No. 6.
- Cleveland at New York (7:30 ET, NBA TV): Cavaliers finish No. 3 with two wins over New York and a 76ers loss; LeBron James is 19-8 all-time at MSG.
- Orlando at Milwaukee (8 ET, NBA League Pass): Bucks may get to No. 6 in the East with a win and some help. Wednesday in Philly will be big for both teams.
- Memphis at Minnesota (8 ET, NBA League Pass): Timberwolves can clinch a postseason berth with a win, a San Antonio win and a Portland win over Denver.
- Sacramento at San Antonio (8:30 ET, NBA League Pass): Spurs clinch their 21st consecutive playoff spot with a victory, or a Memphis win, or a Portland win.
- Portland at Denver (9 ET, NBA League Pass): Nuggets need at least one win in their final two games to have a chance, and the home finale might loom vital.
- New Orleans at L.A. Clippers (10:30 ET, ESPN): Doc Rivers says the eliminated Clippers will play it straight, knowing Pelicans clinch spot with a win.
- Chicago at Brooklyn (7:30 ET, NBA League Pass): No playoff implications

Okc needs yo win miami would rather lose ro llay celts theory? Also maimi just lost to knicks by 20?
