Red Sox Nation

MrMulligan

Pretty much a regular
I hope y'all weren't counting on Bartolo Colon as your 5th starter (or 6th, 7th or 8th)...El Gigundo One got LIT UP by the Yanks:

2/3 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 3 BB

Mully (A DIEHARD Yankee Homer)

Sweet man lets dissect a spring training game as an end all be all

Ok, Beantown Homer lets dissect El Gigundo's pitching stats from '06 and '07:

Year W L G GS IP H ERA WHIP
2006 1 5 10 10 56.3 71 5.11 1.456
2007 6 8 19 18 99.3 132 6.34 1.621

All I've heard is the PRO-BEANER media (ESPN, anyone?) talking what a great, "under the radar" signing Colon was...:36_11_6:

Mully

Who cares? He's guaranteed NOTHING in his contract

You laughing makes you look like a moron because if you knew anything about the economics of baseball you'd know that this was a no-brainer signing

You're acting like we invested shit loads in the guy and that we are counting on him to carry us. It's amazing how the IQ of yankee fans is so moronic

Red Sox starting rotation: :stretcher:

Red Sox fans as starters get lit up: :smiley_abve:

Yankee Fans thinking about Red Sox Nation and their PATHETIC starting rotation: :36_11_6:

What'll a hurt Beckett, finished Schilling, over-the-hill Wakefield, unproven Lester & Buchholz, inconsistent Matsuzaka & DEFINITELY FINISHED El Gigundo in your starting rotation get 'ya?

About 80 - 82 in '08...hope you enjoyed your BRIEF run of success Beantown Biatches...:pillow:

Mully

I'm a Yankee fan as well but I wouldn't go bashing the Red Sox and their starting rotation. Look at who the Yanks have, 2 over-the-hill starters in Pettite and Mussina, Ching Chang Wang, and 2 unproven starters in Hughes and Kennedy. Not a whole lot to get excited about. Atleast we have JOBA!!

lets talk shit about spring training??? u got that ..Mr.Mulligan.. u a raiders fan 2?? start fuckin worrying about your startin rotation.. dont worry about the sox rotation kid..lol talk to me in october playa

haha ya im actually very happy they got colon for what they did. now hes reaching 93-94 on the gun, which no one in the sox organization was expecting, pain free as well (so far). if they keep bringing him along slowly, he could very well be a mainstay in the rotation and eat up innings. yanks fans are jealous of sox fans????? who woulda though......

lol nice pic smoke. mully, thats just sox players sticking up for what their coaches were promised. and we got championships now, so yes all in good fun.

brief success = 2 WS wins in 4 years?

then, on that scale, no WS wins in 7 years must = terminal failure.

Sir, when you have an 86 year period of UNPARALLELED SUCCESS like the Bronx Bombers...I'd say 4 years is relatively BRIEF...:36_11_6:

Mully
