Anytime Goal-Scorer Props Today

New Jersey’s Jack Hughes to Score (+155) BetMGM

Jack Hughes is a great investment for reasons pertaining to his team and to himself. His team is hot. His Devils are riding a five-game win streak. During this streak, they’ve scored at least three goals in every game. In three of those games, they scored five goals. So, the goals are there for the team. The key is to choose the best player on that team. Hughes is that player with a team-leading six goals. All six goals came in his last three games. In addition to being hot, his shooting volume is fantastic: he’s attempted 18 shots in his last three games.

Buffalo’s Tage Thompson to Score (+130) BetMGM

If you’re worried about investing in a Buffalo player to score, then you haven’t been paying attention to recent events. Since the Sabres exploded for eight goals on October 15, their offense has proven to be improved. It would be erroneous to underestimate Tage Thompson’s individual potential to score today just because of his low goal total. There is a reason why he is still priced at +130. Last year, he amassed 44 goals. So he is clearly a very good goal-scorer. One has to expect the goals to come from him. This is true in view of his shooting volume – he’s attempted five shots in his last two games. But his outlook is great especially because he’s a center facing a Detroit team that, in its most recent 4-2 win over Edmonton, allowed both of its goals to centers.

Calgary’s Rasmus Andersson to Score (+700) BetMGM

A player prop list can’t be complete without a player who has major payout potential. Part of the reason why Rasmus Andersson is listed at +700 is the fact that he is a defenseman. One might be inclined to think that defensemen aren’t likely to score. But his team’s opponent tonight, Montreal, had allowed a goal to a defenseman in four straight games before its most recent affair. So, defensemen can certainly score against Montreal. Andersson is a great choice to score because, even while his team as a whole is underperforming, he has been able to assert himself offensively. He is coming off a game in which he attempted six shots and scored a goal. He now has two goals in his last three games, ensuring that his momentum is ideal right now.
