Auto-bet on my favorite trend in CFB. Simple handicap. Academy vs. Academy "Under". Oddsmakers are willing to give us the most points this total has seen in 5 years, and the public will keep this total higher than it should throughout the week.
The fact of the matter is that each team sees the other teams offense every day in practice and thus nobody more well prepared to slow it down. With the game clock no longer stopping on first downs (outside of final 2min of each half) it will melt off a lot of precious seconds that previous year versions of this game got to keep in their pocket and save. This will have a devastating impact on the over, I don't think the new game clock rules are being baked into this number properly,
Army and Navy are fundamentally sound teams that have a fierce respect for the rivalry. We are going to see defenders flying to the ball all game long and gang tackling...and the result will be a ton of 3 to 4 yard rushes. Add the clock rules to that, sprinkle some weather conditions on top, and I will be placing my chips on the under side of this coin.
