PACMAN JONES SUSPENDED INDEFINITELY

Posted by Michael David Smith on October 14, 2008, 2:42 p.m.
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones has been suspended indefinitely.

Jones will be suspended without pay and will miss at least four games.
The NFL found that Jones was involved in an alcohol-related physical altercation and had therefore violated the terms of his reinstatement.

<!-- end page tools --> <!-- begin story body --> <!-- template inline --> Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has been suspended for at least the next four games of Dallas' season for his most recent violation of the league's personal conduct policy., the NFL announced Tuesday.

In announcing his decision, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Jones' "disturbing pattern of behavior was clearly inconsistent with the conditions I set for your continued participation in the NFL."

Jones was notified by Goodell that he is suspended indefinitely without pay as a result of his most recent violation of the league's personal conduct policy.

Goodell will determine the final length of Jones' suspension following the Cowboys' Week 11 game against Washington on Nov. 16, the league said.

The decision on whether Jones can return to play will be based on his strict compliance with his NFL and Cowboys treatment plans as well as on evaluations of Jones' progress that will be provided to Goodell by clinical experts retained by the NFL.

Hasnt been a good couple days for the Cowgirls...

First they lose the game...then Romos gone for a month...then Felix Jones is gone for a month...then Sam Hurds done for the year...then McBriars done for the year...now Pacmans done for a month at least, and probably good

Well, I guess they figured since they cant play defense they might as well get more offense...

they just traded for Roy Williams

The Detroit Lions have traded wide receiver Roy Williams to the Dallas Cowboys.

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the trade was made today, just before the NFL trade deadline.

It is not clear exactly what compensation the Lions got from the Cowboys, but Schefter reported that Detroit received “at least one first-round pick.”
