Packers/Raiders

This is like the Mexico game last year...what a disaster. Got in an under 39 bet but have to check and see if my book canceled it due to the circumstances.

Shocked they’re even playing TBH

Packer HOF game from two seasons ago too. It's just a glorified scrimmage at this point. I heard on way home Packers weren't playing any starters, got my wager in, then heard about the field, then heard Raiders weren't starting anyone.

Sigh.

I have a feeling within five years I won't be paying attention to the NFL anymore. The product is shit. Raiders got a roughing the passer on first drive that just have me shaking my head. No Red Zone this year on Uverse. Bailed on some of my fantasy leagues.

Fucking books should've cancelled any action on this game. Fucking 80 yard field? Horse shit!

Goodell is such a fucking douche for allowing this shit to happen.

Bovada didn't, dicks.

I assume all books cancelled action, at least on totals for BAL/PHI game though as it was stopped short of 55 minutes.

I had a bet at BOL and they didn't cancel action.

Quite honestly, I don't think any offshore canceled action.

I'm sure they can get away with it because there's nothing specified in the house rules about length of field. Probably because no sportsbook would ever imagine a commissioner who is such a horse's ass that he would arrange for a game to be played on a sub-standard field.

I didn't get to see the game but was aware of the goal post hole. Was there other field problems beyond that or was it mostly the hole that everyone is referring to as bad field conditions?

That was it, they weren't happy with the patch job and it was close the goal line in the endzone.

But beyond the field they played on an 80 yard field. Amazed that alone didn't void all total wagers

Ok thanks guys, I figured that was it. The field turf at that stadium is only a few years old so it should be in good shape otherwise.

I am interested because now when they put the CFL posts back in place, that will leave a hole at the 3 yard line or so. Hopefully they are able to do some sort of permanent patch job there.

Having an NFL game in a CFL stadium is such a bad idea for this and a few other reasons. I am starting to see why both Edmonton and Saskatchewan turned it down before Winnipeg accepted it.

Believe it or not, this was not the first time a game was played on a shortened field in Winnipeg. Maybe 25 years ago, there was a game where it rained heavily the day before and then flash froze overnight and turned the field into a block of ice. They had volunteers out chipping the ice away but couldn't get the whole field done before kickoff and ended up playing on a field that was shorter and narrower than usual. Was one of the most bizare games I've ever seen. Picture 12 men per side playing on a field that is narrower than even an NFL field.
