Packers/Eagles thoughts and plays

Win4L

Pretty much a regular
Hey crew,

I’m equally excited and nervous about this weeks game. Here are some random thoughts:

- GB defense is going to be much better with Quay and Wilson back. Wilson’s presence greatly improves X’s ability to roam and spy which will be key in this game.

- Watson is surely a loss but this receiver group is deep and they are all bought in. I expect a big day from Wicks and to a lesser extent Melton. Doubs will get most of the defense attention.

- GB has a strong chance of possessing the ball first because when they win the toss they like to take the ball. Lafleur will have a great scripted 1st drive imo which should lead to points. There is also a strong chance the Philly offense will struggle in the first drive or 2 while Hurts shakes off the rust.

- Jacob’s is super excited about being in the playoffs and from what I have heard has the boys both ready and focused. They have been wanting this rematch since Brazil.

- Love has looked good in practice this week and is showing no issues with the hand. This is not a concern to me.

Play:

GB 1st half +3 (2 units)

GB 1st qtr ml (2 units)

Leans:

- GB+4.5

- Wicks TD

- Kraft over receiving yards

Good luck with whatever you guys play.

Go Pack Go!

Rush defence has improved significantly in their last 7 games, with only Detroit going for more than 100 yards (111), while the rest were 83 yards or less against SF, Miami, Seattle, NO, Minnesota and Chicago. In Week 1, Philly went for 144 yards and for half the season stopping the run was a weakness but things have changed. They will force Hurts to throw against a pretty good secondary. The Pack are a live dog here.

Go pack go!

Terrific write-up!

Really appreciate the tidbit on their approach if winning the toss.

Jacobs gets into the postseason -- another great tidbit.

This thread made my day and I'm glad I read it for my own purposes.

Great notes.

My Lions definitely had a tough time running versus that front. I said it in the in-game but that was wildly impressive. I think they just snuck over the 100 mark on the final drive with the big gamble on 4th.

My concern is whether or not they take the same approach as they typically do if they win the toss. I don’t see why not though. I feel very confident that their first drive will be a good one either way 🤞🏼

I definitely think GB is a live dog. If Hurts ain’t all the way right and they get back to eeeking victories out….

Love is 100% good to go?

Going to be a really tough hill to climb and I know you're a GB fan....the three best teams in the NFC are in the North this season and unfortunately only one of them gets to host playoff football unless something crazy happens. Definitely live but I really don't know how that defense stops at least three tush pushes today.

Philly rested, on a mission. Philly defense MUCH better than when they played earlier this year. Secondary is light years better. GB won’t catch Philly napping. No Watson is big. GB MAY cover. Philly win by 4 or so.

Only concern is Eagles slow starts. If GB can hit em early and take a 10pt lead, it will force Hurts hand and I don’t have too much faith on his ability to make good decisions. Plus our coach is a fucking tool, so if Philly goes down early, the crowd will turn, and Sirianni will implode. Can’t stand his stupid ass

Great stuff and Crazy good game for first weekend........I have heard a ton of "Eagles ML" as a parlay partner.....I did not and could not.....very easily see a GB win here

I do agree with the rush push factor Kj. I think they will get an int so hopefully that’s helps offset them.

In all fairness last time GB played Philly it was the first game by a new DC with a a very young team. Every game of experience since has been big towards building a solid unit.

Big test today.

Watson completely changes how a defense can cover GB. He has no equal in that regard in that WR room. Case in point, the first 3+ quarters against Minnesota a few weeks ago.

Wicks and melton will give it their all. Hopefully the Philly corners don’t take them seriously.

Just the start I was hoping for 🤬

What is the rule on fumble possession? Trying to understand how that was not a clear recovery, seemed like indisputable evidence to me.

I know you all didn't win but the defense was excellent.

Entering the 4th, this was an even game by all the numbers other than a 3-0 turnover margin.

Injuries at the ER position caught up and the defense tired a bit in the 4th.

A clean sheet and this would have been a last 2 mins type of game.

Like I thought. Eagles D made the difference and did just enough on offense. This game should have been an even wider margin

Congrats to the Eagles. Far too physical and overall the better side won

But I do question the opening kick off return turnover. Helmet to helmet? Also, I thought Nixon recovered it. In saying that, if he doesn't fumble, then we don't have this conversation, and maybe the outcome of the game changes

Philly will be very hard to beat in the NFC with Detroit their closest challenger

You are biased. We clearly recovered that fumble on the kickoff. Aside from that Love played like shit. Your defense didn’t need to do much on the gift wrapped pic. Slay Jr’s was nice I’ll give you that.

I might possibly be biased and I agree with the fumble issue. But I could also say Jalen played terrible, our play calling was weak, and AJ having very few targets was criminal. Safe to say, both teams were definitely not on top of their games
