On this beautiful fallback evening... What did you learn in Week #10?

Since you asked we learned once again that Mario will always fall apart and will never have Miami as a playoff team. He has absolutely no excuses with a loaded roster and playing in a conference as weak as can be with both Clemson and FSU in the dumps. A program with real championship aspirations would fire him and finally hire a real coach but the big money boosters are mostly high school buddies who are fine with these debacles year after year.

The clown is now 4-11 in games played in November and December. He has squandered a great college QB in Cam Ward last season and a totally loaded roster this season. Again if you can't win the ACC this season with these players you never will.

Its been a wasteland for over 20 years for a program that was the most dominant one in college football the previous 20 years. Thanks for starting a thread that gives me the opportunity to trash Cristobal I certainly enjoyed the opportunity.

Pretty sure I've never been on the wrong end of so many fluky finishes in one day. It started off with getting a push on Texas after blowing a 34-10 lead in the 4th qtr and continued with some wonderful things like Stockton deciding not to score and cover and Virginia scoring a touchdown on an interception with under a minute to go to win by 10.

This is a pretty wild year in college football. The refereeing is as shitty as ever and there have been some fucking betting beats for the ages.

The playoffs should be fucking awesome. You wonder if Indy is gonna peak soon or have an injury bug because if not they sure as shit looked poised to be there in the end.
We have talked about parity in college football for years and it’s finally here. Mostly for the wrong reasons, but it’s here nonetheless.

I’m shocked to see Clemson play so shitty and kind of heartless in this day and age. Mainly, because like a service academy, Dabo doesn’t hit the portal so one would think a sense of “team” there more than anywhere.
Clemson really got fucked on that PI call but is that 2 years in a row to Duke?(parity).

Which coach is next to get the axe 🪓?

No one will talk about it because its Mississippi State but Jeff Lebby is doing a great job and it probably won't be long before a bigger program steals him away. I think he would be a great hire for LSU but it wouldn't be the headline grabber that the fans want.

To be way more careful playing openers/booking plays early in the week in general. That went great in September but not so much recently.

That Clemson PI can really was awful. Good for Duke live TT players, though. Dabo used the portal a bit this offseason, but you're right, he still doesn't utilized close to as much as he should. This team tried to follow the template from UM in '23 and OSU in '24, but I heard someone say recently that maybe the guys they had come back weren't the difference-makers like those UM and OSU teams.

Texas looked has like a different team starting with the 4Q against Miss State last week. They dominated Vandy on the LOS from beginning to end, and Sark's playcalling was great all game. Still, they left the backdoor open depending upon your number, and should've won that by way more than 3. Vandy looked really tired and beat up esp 1H, and they have one more game (Auburn) before a bye.

USC still can't cover outside of CA, and Nebraska still can't beat a top 25 team (though the result might've been different if Raiola had been able to stay in the game).

Indiana is beginning to accumulate some injuries (Sarratt, a couple of OL and LBs). They have solid depth esp at WR but cluster injuries at OL or LB are going to impact any team.

Louisville's D and run game are legit. RB Isaac Brown pulled a hammy on the final drive and Keyjuan Brown stepped right in and slammed the door.

Penn State showed zero quit at OSU and the Buckeyes really had to get their act together at halftime to take control of a game that should not have been 17-14 at half.

Really regret passing on Arizona/fading Colorado. Buffs are comically bad.

Florida's new offensive approach and faster pace bear watching. This was a good example of a team playing loose and with nothing to lose arguably outplaying a better opponent even though they didn't get the W.

You can almost set your watch to Mario Cristobal.

Really looking forward to Texas going to Athens in two weeks.

Nice composure by Miami yesterday. I guess what do you expect from a Mario Cristobal team. They look like they could be in full mail it on mode after yesterday.

Ga Tech was on borrowed time and time ran out yesterday. Really looking forward to hammering Pitt vs them in a few weeks.

Speaking of Pitt, the Nard dawg continues to not STB. I'm stunned really.

Also along the lines of no one will talk about or even care, but New Mexico is 6-3 and bowl eligible for the 1st time since 2016. Jason Eck is an old-school, throw back cosch nd will be at a p4 school sooner, rather than later. Wisconsin could do alot worse than Eck.

Hard to go against Utah at home at night. They seem to lay eggs in those early starts though.

Sometimes we put too much emphasis on the motivational angle. UH dedicated their game to their coach that just passed away and they got beat up by a pretty bad WVU team.

It will be interesting to see what Sanders does at the end of this year. It's somewhat obvious that much of his success has been due to SS and TH. He has health issues and one has to wonder if at some point he just wants to enjoy life. I know he loves coaching but I know he hates losing as well and there are a lot of programs out there that support football more than they do in Boulder.

When I went through the New Mexico roster in August the defense looked like pieced together junk and the offense depleted. Every decent player had hit the portal. No way would I have them 6-3 at this point.

LSU can’t take a flier right now. Just can’t.

So who's on the list if not a pretty successful SEC coach?

I don't understand the logic
I am pretty sure they are going to make Lane say no.

We can go back n forth all you want about logic and what makes sense, but I seriously doubt Lebby gets a look.

Yeah I'm not using Lebby as a benchmark but assume Lane says no, then who is this homerun? I think that was the mindset with Kelly. Gotta try something else.

Beautiful day, indeed. Nothing like Fall weather.

- Those OU shorts above aren't even the worst we've seen this year. Need to ban this stuff.
- You can hate Pavia because he seems like a douche all too often. But there's nothing to hate about his competitiveness.
- All credit to Manning. He's making really nice strides and you can't question his toughness. The guy will stand in and take a hit to deliver a throw.
- I guess Freeze is done tomorrow? In back to back years he's completely whiffed on his QB choice and that's just part of it.
- Time to go, Sanders. Your team's quit and your health seems to be on that path. It's okay to call it a day and move on.
- Ohio's WRs just continue to look so different than anything or anyone else at the college level. They're NFL players competing at the college level. Sayin is making their lives easy as well.
- The night environments in Utah (Provo or Salt Lake City) continue to be among the sport's best. Just amazing electricity. Cincy had no chance last night.
- Death, taxes and the U folding its tent. All givens.
- Good luck figuring out the ACC down the stretch.
- Something has to be done about PI, on Saturdays and Sunday. It's too punitive a penalty and needs dispensation as a reviewable call. The penalty on Clemson was abysmal and decided the game.

I didn't play their 3.5 O/U but there was no way I could've bet the over.

My buddy goes to practice and has been for 20+ years. He said in July, it was the worst offensive line collection he had seen in the 20 years.

I’m not saying you’re wrong. It’s going to be real interesting, it’s very much a shitshow.

At the very least LSU has a couple billionaires that have been behind the scenes that aren’t alums, just from Louisiana.

Lane should be the target but if they can't get him or another coach that would be considered a sure thing Lebby would be a great realistic hire.

Almost every UK fan I know wishes Stoops would be gone and Sumrall would get the job.
Now that seems like an incredible fit for obvious reasons

Not really sure why a basketball school expects more than what Stoops has given them though. Competing in the SEC football grid should be the high bar for UK

Well, they see IU and Vandy having football success and think that they should too. They have a lot of wealthy donors too, money shouldn't be an issue.

Stoops has always recruited quite well and they've had some good years under him but I believe that he has underachieved in his time here.

I think the concern with Stoops is that he appears to be regressing. They don't expect SEC titles, but they used to be a consistent 7-8 win team. Part of that may have been being in the East, but he's proven that you can win to some extent there, he's just not doing it any more

Auburn saw the same writing on the wall.
This is gonna be crazy
The writing was on the wall last season when he brought Payton Thorne back for a second year. The fact they were excited when they paid for Jackson Arnold tells me they have no idea what a competent QB is supposed to look like. Cam Coleman has wasted 2 of his 3 years in college. He won't come to Tuscaloosa, but I bet he's in either Eugene or College Station next year

I would pay good money to help pay off whatever Mario has coming his way because he is just a waste of time.

I still stand by what I said earlier that Jeff Lebby will be a great hire if someone is willing to take a chance and lets face it other than Lane who is really out there to hire.

He could be. The arms race was starting…I said 2 weeks ago here if LSU had the money Kelly would’ve been gone….then they got the money.
I can’t even imagine the back door rumblings in the SEC right now…

Other than Lane who I expect to end up in Miami..... with the Dolphins who do you want.
