OK so this is weird.....

Pretty much a regular
You guys probably already know this but it was quite a shock for me. I'm watching Fox Sports 1 just now because at 5 pm there is a pac 12 basket game I bet on. Nothing else on so I turned it on early and I'm watching "Fox Bet Live" for the first time as I never watch the talking heads. The people in this forum, know way more than any of those guys ever did. But I was curious so I turned up the sound to hear what these guys are saying about this weeks NFL games. Then this panel of four is talking about the games and I see this one guy named Todd. He looks really familiar for some reason so I look up his name and background. Todd Fuhrman. Lives and works in Las Vegas and started working in the caesars sportsbook setting odds while he was just out of college. Sure enough I knew him.

I remember his posting name was "Collegeboy" on Covers. I also remember that this young kid was one of the four guys that started Winners Circle Sports forum with me when we all left covers. Todd, a guy named PJ who used the name "Syndicate" and a guy named larry who went by the name of "Gamblinman". Gamblinman was a helluva capper. Todd and Larry were from Chicago and PJ was from Toronto. We would meet in Windsor at the casino as it was the most centralized for all of us. Took us about 5 months to get started and we held that site for a number of years. Many of the posters in here were members of that site also. Cash, Tim, Wise, Dexter, Bull, Bloodhound, and a bunch of others. When the WCS broke up I lost touch with all those guys excerpt for the ones that came over here.

I'm not sure if Todd ever posted in here but if he did I'm sure he did so as Collegeboy. In any event, it was really weird seeing an old forum poster rat on TV and he has obviously done well for himself. Just thought I'd throw that out as I'm sure many in here would remember him. And as I said, this whole conversation may have already taken place in here years ago as I'm sure of two things. Someone in here no doubt already knew all this and I am always slow to the party. GL

that show is Fucking awful but thst is pretty cool and I all a sudden dislike him a little less, lol. He actually has a decent podcast, I forget the name of it and I only listen every once in great while but it way way better than that show and the intro sound is awesome if that the one I’m thinking bout! I usually fall asleep few minutes after that over, Lol

Like seriously good for him and anyone who was able to turn their useless sports knowledge and degeneracy into a good life, I certainly wasn’t smart enough to do it or even figure out where to begin. Being a social media retard prob not the way to go! No hate from me. Lol

Fuhrman does the Bet the Board podcast. More of the host/emcee role, as opposed to providing the in-depth analysis.

yea that the show, as I said I usually fall asleep before hearing a ton of it just cause that the goal when I lay down and turn podcast on! The few times I’ve listened to much of it I didn’t think it was bad and like I said love their intro even tho cant remember what it is exactly! Tbink has some that loonies song I like plus some classic movie gambling quotes or something.

Wire, was not aware of his history until your post. i do remember his “handle” in the old days. Ironically,he is a weekly guest there in Canada on an NFL radio program ,INSIDE THE LINES. He is well spoken and pontificates about various games each week and then provides his “soft bets” at the end of his slot. I have always been neutral on his picks, but he talks a good game. Just my opinion.

Thanks guys. GL

He wasn’t a very good capper at covers or WCS but as I said he was very young. It was actually his idea and PJs to start WCS to get away from covers. Those two recruited me and gamblinman and made us partners. PJ was the tech that set the site up and Todd was the PR guy. Gamblinman and I just made picks. They said they would run the site and Larry and I were “just supposed to fucking win”. Todd got WCS into several sports mags and he was very good at PR even as a kid still in college. No surprise he made a career out of it. GL
