Thanks JB. Looks like I jumped the gun on the Lakers total as that thing is free falling at the moment (down from 213 to 206 in less than 24 hours - Magic and Worthy out?). I know they're banged up, but in a game featuring Kobe and Harden, the shots are going to be coming fast and furious (almost 190 shots between the two of the them in the two games at Staples last season, which is pretty much insane considering the average NBA game has around 160-165 - not to mention all the clock stoppages as Harden , Dwight and Kobe are bound to go to the line a billions times between the three of them). Plus without Gasol down low anymore, it's just going to be stop and pop on most possessions, so hopefully the 12-3 OV trend between the two manages to make its way over the opening number regardless.

I'm on the under in HOU/LAL, but purely based off of their preseason performance. Both were big to the under, I don't personally know how/if that carries over to the start of the regular season. I'm sure to a large extent it doesn't, but I'm banking on it carrying a little weight. I did find that line movement very weird, at one point I saw it down to 204.5 at BOL. I figured most would be on the over since this has been one of those ~215-225 opening line final score 260-270 type of matchups in the past.

Either way, with the exception of that game I'm leaning the same direction on the other two.

Does anyone know when the totals come out for Wednesday's card?

Yeah, I'm pretty confused by the movement on that total as well JB. It's either a) a massive over-reaction to the pre-season where neither side exactly lit it up or b) the belief that the Rockets are going to blow out the Lakers early, meaning extended garbage time in the 4Q. Either way, I'm not sure when the last time is I saw that much movement where there isn't an injury or lineup change.

*The Thunder were the worst defensive team of the preseason at 110.9 PPG (2nd? The Clippers...), and no reason to think that changes after last night's meltdown. As for LAC, you've got revenge factor on the one hand and the league's highest scoring 1H home offense from a year ago at 56.8. Might come down to the final minute, but I feel good about their chances here...
