I don't know if that's something I'm going to be doing on a regular basis (if I get burned enough times FT like I thought I was going to with the Flames last night, maybe I will), but the way I always look at it, if they don't come out scoring in the first period, my over's probably screwed anyways, so why not? Plus, just based on my own personal experience, if it comes down to an EN situation, trust me, I'm not getting the over (I've lost track of how many times I've gotten screwed like that - pucks swept off the line, pucks doinking off the post at both ends, etc...).
I guess it's like anything else - if there's opportunity, it's worth looking into (I remember a few seasons ago the Wings were an automatic over in the 1P, but not so much for the full game). I'll try to post up stats as the season progresses.
