Ya tough two games vs the blues/boston in which they were very close games, lost a 2 goal lead vs detroit by 1.. that one hurt.
But they have a top 10 top line, a top goaltender, and a defense that is very good (atleast the top pairing/klingberg... I think they will be fine with the avoidance of injuries

Made my first mistake of the season.... I must have misread it, could have sworn Hutton was in net for buffalo and not ullmark. Even the bigger fanduel tourney had 5%+ ownership on hutton. I do see ullmark confirmed like 25 minutes prior, but idk. Oh well, live and learn.

This is where Dallas wins...calling it now. Dont trust carolina goaltending, but they are dominate everywhere else, so taking a shot at a a cheap price.... and NYR is to big of a number in a game where they are the worse team, but a lot closer than perception seems.

Said this to a few friends of mine "Don't like the idea of backing Detroit being on a B2B game with a worse goaltender, plus I don't trust their defense. But looking at another way to tackle this game that I like A LOT. Ottawas whole team, top to bottom, is bad.... Detroits whole team top to bottom, is bad. EXCEPT their top line. They are far and away the best unit that'll be on the ice today. Detroit is projected 3~ goals. They are also the top powerplay unit for Detriot. In a short sample size (just 8 games), Ottawa has given their oppenents 4+ powerplays a game. They allow 36.1 shots against (2nd to just the Rangers), and 3.50 goals against per game. I don't see how they will be kept off the score sheet."
Essentially, if they get 1 point, i'll breakeven.

Detroit had 36 shots on goal, their big 3 posted above had 10 shots on goal combined (not counting the misses/blocks).... they were together even strength for 21% of the even strength time... and Detroit went 0 for 5 on full powerplays (that occured through the first 2 periods)... they were on ice for those 10 minutes 66% of the time...
I'd make that same play tonight if I could. And honestly, I may look to do that same concept more throughout the year... plays coming later
