SF has issues stopping the air game- cannot get pressure- and corners cannot cover. detroit is just ugly on D. lotta points both ways imo. however, i try to stay away from FG totals
 
all i know is cincy is horrendous.

going to have to watch for the injury updates in NO but the way cutler is looking i'd lean with Den -4 and over 51. big # but if we cant pressure with the 4 man rush then its going to be difficult for us to keep up with denver. well have to keep throwing and we are excellent at going 3 and out, cant run the damn ball. we did a poor job today getting to campbell.
 
also should be interetsing to see how SD reacts. lot of emotion going on in that locker room. Lose to a walk off TD by Carolina, lost by complete bullshit calls by refs and shanahan going for the 2 pt today. merriman gone for season, LT not himself with the toe injury. go home for monday night

Not much sticks out really there is again touch decisions to lay big points with teams with flaws or take the points with teams playing worse then one could imagine.

Would have to say I like DET +3.5 . They did a great job at coming back but the 2nd straight week they put themselves way behind early . Remember they were up 1 with about 7 to play ...Like SF and how they have progressed but I still seem them as flawed and not maximizing situations/ Perfect example is not last weeks loos but todays win . They had 3 chances to win and how many times do you get 3 legit chances to win ?Think bout this they were down 30-27 late 4th Q and had the ball inside the red zone probably inside SEA 10 and settled for 3 pts . Then they had SEA backed up and got great field position inside the final 2 minutes . They drive the ball and get aa 40-41 yder that Nedney misses . So finally they win the coin flip and get the ball to start OT and hit a 40ish yd FG .....so nice work moving the ball all game but very poor I thought making crucial plays and inside the red zone .....

Some others are Jets +9 . I thought there defense played well and got to the QB . SD will win this and concerned they get all the breaks after two tough losses but not sure there defense is good enough to lay this many points ...

Saints and Broncos ? Over 151 ??? Neither team can stop anyone and DEN offense is explosive if Cutler doesnt let the ball slip out of his hand...

Under Minny and Carolina ...maybe Under TB and CHI as well.....

I actually meant 151 ......these teams cant stop anyone . If the Redskins didnt waste so many early opps they would have hung 50 something ....Skins 1st H was 3 of 5 on FGs and 9 points and they should have had like 24-28 ...

and will I like OAK the whole 1 PM things scares me when they have some key young players ....
 
yea, i watched the game. zorns not been good at play calling for the skins or campbell doesnt know how to execute the offense. either way it was ugly

Skins misses a long FG on 1st drive (-3 pts) , settled for a FG inside the 5 (-4 points) , started on teh NO27 and settled for 3 pts (-4pts) .

Then settle for a 30 YD FG and miss it (-3 or -7 pts) and then again settle for 3 pts on another short FG in the red zone (-4pts) .

2nd H they scored TDS on 3 of 5 possessions but went for 2 and didnt get it so (-1pt)

So they lost a good 19 or 23 pts IMO by repeatedly stalling and either settling for 3 or missing the 3 they settled for .....they scored 29 and the 19 or 23 they left off the board pust them at 48-52 pts ............even TB left pts off the board vs them and they had 3 injured starters on defense ......

The Skins who looked pathetic on offense had 10 drives ...they only punted twice and either score pts or missed a makeable FG on 8 of them....

I do hate the time zone issue but the Bills have beaten a suspect Seattle team and a riddled JV squad. I can't remember the last time the Bills were favored by this much. The raiders should be able to run the ball and while Kiffin is on thin ice I am sure he has been looking forward to this trip (grew up 5 miles from Rich Stadium)and knows how to handle his beloved Bills.

Nice info on Kiffin . I may just wait till half or play OAK small. Still have to review that KC game today (hd OAK 1st Q and game ) ...I know Fargas and Russell were banged up at some point...

I don't think the Raiders can win but if I would love to buy it up to 10.

Edwards hasn't thrown a pick yet this year while last year he averaged just under one per game.

Seattle averaged 4 yrds per rush and JV averaged 3.6 with a rebuilt interior line. (Jones Drew did not get a carry the entire first half-What's up with that?)

Last year OAK was 6th in the league in rushing offense without McFadden while the Bills were 22nd in rushing defense. Are they better this year? no question, but they haven't laid a number like this in at least 4 years...

i like an under in seattle...but will wait for 44...Div. game, seattle has given up 34 and 33 last two weeks and are 0-2..They cant be that bad esp. at home 2 weeks in a row, but we know the rams are..The Rams offense is exactly what the seattle D needs at this point...24-13 Seattle

I see some people thinking that but I am not so sure .

Lions started slowly both games so far but a good sign was how there defense played from mid 2nd Q to mid 4th q allowing just 3 points and really stuffing the GB offense ? Was it an illusion ? Was it the defense that looked like the uhm Bears in the preseason ??

Det offense has not played well . The had 2 TDs on long passes to Calvin Johnson and that cant be the only way to get pts on the board....

SF did some nice things but they stalled a few times again inside the red zone settling for 3 points and need 3 chances to win the game......also had good field position a few times....

I am think 45 or better is an UNDER play seeing 24-21 type game as worst case scenario ...thats just my intial reaction...SF defense can hold its own at home and DET offense has shownt the ability to sustain long drives and relied on big plays ...SF defense always plays much better at home and again the offense has relied heavily on good field position and not done well once entering teh red zone IMo......lots of FGs possibly here:shake:

Could be best going with TT under Rams .....apprx 17 (could be 16.5 early) gonna be hard to break that ...in general though I like it...63 pts in last weeks game 14 came on turnovers for scores and bunch more because of turnovers and good field position......:shake:

True but what are the Raiders going to do when Buff stacks the line and takes away the run game? I do agree that -9 seems quite a bit for Buff but Oak on the road with a rookie RB and 2nd yr starting QB that is a nightmare at the moment, I would think twice about playing Oak. Bills are a lean at the moment but I wouldn't hesitate to lay the 9 with the way Buff is playing right now. Also Sea averaged 4 yards per rush but still lost by 24 at Buff in Week 1. Just my .02:cheers:

Why this sounds stupid and obvious it really is key to figure out what we can expect from OAK side of the scoreboard and huge key knowing how well Buffalo special teams is because Johnny Lee Higgins is a huge threat who can give a team a quick lift and maybe quick 7 points . Fargas hurt ?

If I think its tough to crack 10 points for OAK (Seabass kicking well cant be forgotten either) then -9 doesnt look like much....Have to think Bill at home get 20-21 worst case on the board....:shake:

Remember that Edwards is a second year QB as well (Russell and Edwards both have 2 tds with no picks this season) and the running back position is one of instinct where rookies often do well.

The Seattle/SF game helps to show that the Bills week one win was not all that impressive.

The Raiders simply need to be patient with the ground game and Russell needs to maintain his error free ways.

Right now the Bills are thinking about Brady, 0-2 San Diego, 0-2 Jacksonville, and 0-2 Cleveland while pounding down victory wings.

If the Saints have Mckenzie,Harper and Fujita back I will take them. I think Denvers recent play will set this one up nicely for the pub to pound Denver at home. Saints over achieve against the upper class of the NFL. They will take Denver down but it all depends on the injuries.
 
Early leans on:

ATL -4.5. Turner is a solid back and KC is toilet paper.
Buffalo -8.5. They are the real deal, and both teams will run-run-run. See at least a 10pt victory and the under. Somethin like 21-6.
TEN -5. Defense wins games and their's has been great as of late (8 sacks, 4 INTs, 1 Fumble Rec., 1 blocked kick)
CHI -3 & UNDER 36. Disclaimer: I'm a homer; but Chi in Soldier Field is tough to contend with no matter who you are. Their D is back with vengence. TB D is always solid too. Close game, but Chi covers 17-10.
Den -5. Love this line. Tell me how NO stops Den from putting 77 points on the board? 5 points in a game where the O/U is 51 is nothing. And DEN is at home... so you mean to tell me on a neutral field, this game line is Den -2? Might be my biggest play this season.

I was thinking along the same lines once I saw 5.5 ALREADY. just a day and already 1.5 pts in the broncos favor so if we can catch better than that... plus i really want the total to drop.

and -4 opening was begging for action is it not? just in light of how last week went. considering all the injuries our defense played out of its mind for a while, they just had to get tired. Our offense just has to execute, weve looked horrendous even with our passing game

Like the homefield, like the defense and the improving O. I don't like Houston not playing in week 2.

The Bolts are going to be out for blood after last weekend's debacle. I love fading teams that play cross country. The Jets played a bad Miami team and eeked out a win. They also had every edge you could want in the NE game and lost by 9.


Man that's a lot of chalk.I'll have to really look at these harder but that's what I'm liking right now.
 
Off the bat I'm peering at Buffalo and San Diego.

Oakland didn't prove shit yesterday. I can't wait to see Russell travel cross country and get his asshole ripped apart by a GOOD defense. McFadden facing a toe injury is never good, no matter how harmless it appears. It's lingering. Just ask LT.

San Diego spread is about where I predicted it. Seems a given considering how they've lost the last two games. But what scares me is Favre on a Monday night. Scary, scary stuff. I'll probably lay off but it's still super-enticing.

Anybody like me and feeling an under in the Broncos/Saints tilt? Both coming off of emotion-spectrum games and any time there's a bally-hooed offensive match-up it seems to just nip the low end of the total pole (see what I did there?).

I do like Jacksonville next week. Not putting a ton of thought into this one really. Indy still looks like garbage and I reckon the Jags can get their offense moving against the Colts.

It'll take much deliberation, but hopefully something arises.

interestingly, unless they open pittsburgh as a fave at philly, which would be completey wrong imo, there are no road faves this week

only other lean will be GB. expecting gB to be a small fave. less than 3, maybe 1 point fave over Dallas. Unsure of where that line moves to. Not sure if I should bite immediately or wait and hope for +money on GB

Dallas should be emotionally exhausted- as well as Philly which is why I'm staying off of them against Pittsburgh

From my new system--- There is a RULE i can share and state here which makes and eliminates some games--

Rule#3-- "Thou shall not bet on a bad team when favored in a professional match by the Vegas Pointspread"

This eliminates betting on the 49'ers at home to Detroit--

also eliminated Baltimore laying points at home

also eliminates Washington and Atlanta both favored also in their games-

I know KC is shit but ATL has a rookie QB--



In week 2 this eliminated KC CHIEFS who were favored over Oakland, Bengals who were -1 over Tenny both outright losses--- Also the JEts had no business being favored and lost outright quite easily as i predicted


It is amazing how VEGAS gets our hard earned money on these low lines but we are backing bad teams--

Is it as easy as simply taking the top teams who will make the playoffs and in college win their divisions and go to high profile bowl games--

I am gonna do it, I am betting on USC, Georgia, top level NFL teams, and knowing I have a very good chance at winning each bet, it is so simple that it works, this will work---

I now look to every underdog, unless its a cellar dwellar team or a non deserving favorite--

THe only favorites I look for are named USC, Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida, and in NFL- Dallas, GBAY, Pitts, Denver's of the league
 
Initial thoughts upon 1st glance :

- Can NE get up for the Dolphins ? The Jet game was pretty important for alot of reasons . Just not sure the Pats are gonna be interested in crushing Miami . It will be a great time though to allow Cassel to take some deep shots . Just wonder is NE gonna coast in these type games...

-Not crazy about the Skins game but lean to them . They are the better team if Campbell can make plays agin. cant weigh NO much since there defense was beyond shorthanded . Just not sure ARI can run the ball effectively vs Wash and they took away the deep stuff from NYG by jus playing off the line . So actually make like the UND because both teams are ineffecient offenses and Zona avg + on defense while Skins is pretty solid...lots of FG attempts here

- Very cautious for the Minny game . Always be aware of games that move 3 and 7. That may have been my flaw in taking DAL yesterday (always a key sign ) . Anyway CAR was kinda fortunate to beat CHI while Minny just cant get the offense to hold on vs Indy . Thinking about the Vikes as Car just unimpressive in week 2 as the offense did next to nothing enter the Vikes defense .....and a desperate team

-Bucs and Bears under ...just dont see many pts here w/o short fields and such ...lean Bears ....

-Oak game is tough . Do I want to lay all those pts or gamble Bills score like 17 and OAK gets to 9 or 10...?? Thinking UNDER .....

-KC is a mess but not sure the pts are worth laying . Might just gamble we see some pts with raw defenses ....

-Giants and Bengals ? Not sure I can lay 13 or recommend it . NYG did not play that well @ STL IMO. If Cincy can get any points on the board its gonna be a tough cover . Really dont see NYG scoring more then 28 ...

-Thinking over @ Tenny but maybe Texans ...love those +5s when books are stuck and know they cant make -3 or -7.....

- If Saints get some players make on defense then looking at them for sure . ALso over because I dont like the DEN defense in 2 weeks but I could see alot of missed opportunities in this game resulting in an under . Perfect world they crack a 100 in this game but real world ..?

- Hate the trip for DET and the fact Martz is the opposing OC. Not sure abnout the total because I dont know what to expect as both offenses have caught tons of breaks IMO when scoring and the LION defense looks like its regressed from last year ...after looking the 85 bears in preseason ....I know its preseason but still didnt matter what unit it was the same result ....and they shut GB down after the 21-0 lead till late 4th quarter ...there is hope..prefer DET +4

-Rams are a mess and SEA is hurting ...under most of all because not sure the Hawks can take advantage through the air . Koren Robinson appears to be back in the mix. Cant take STL here and hate the spread but has to be SEA or nothing at this point. STL is that bad....now I believe

-Really like the UND in the Ravens - Browns game ...really like it ...kinda lean CLE as not into BALT as chalk ....

-Jags and Colts want to see injuries ...think Jax are in much worst shape then Indy . Easiest defense Colts had to face and expect some more pts from them...Jags could run the ball at will though here is a HUGE concern for me ...

- When the line hits 3.5 probably take Pitt . Mostly because I think people are overrating how they played @ Dallas by a wide margin . Big rivalry game and just think Pitt keeps it close with someone hitting a late FG to decide it .....

- Not sure about the total but DAL again and again especially if Bigby is out . lets not overlook the fact the GB almost blew that DET game up 21-3 at half and trailed 25-24 with 7 to play . Bigby ledt and CJohnson quickly caught 2 long TD passes to spark the Lions ....think DAL defense is alot better then its getting credit for and both off high scoring games makes an OVER scary ..do I have the sack to play some sort of UNDER?

- Tough game for Jets . Off a tough loss at home to a rival has to fly cross country to face an 0-2 team who has lost twice in consecutive closing seconds of games ....SD is banged up though so that makes the spread high IMO ...have to lean to Jets +9.....:shake:
