NFL Season Win Totals

Houghton Chemical

Pretty much a regular
South Point posted its Season Win Totals today (4/30) Is it too early to get a discussion going? I'm somewhat surprised that even with the key offseason acquisitions, New England opened at 11. In years past, they were higher. They're giving Tennessee a lot of respect, but maybe that's due to their division? I kinda like Jacksonville's Over at 5.5 and think Detroit could be a sub-.500 team.

New England Patriots 11 over-120

Pittsburgh Steelers 10.5 over-120

Seattle Seahawks 10.5 over/under-110

Atlanta Falcons 10 under-120

Green Bay Packers 10 under-120

Dallas Cowboys 9.5 over-120

Oakland Raiders 9.5 over-120

Tennessee Titans 9.5 under-120

Baltimore Ravens 9.5 under-125

Carolina Panthers 9 over-120

Kansas City Chiefs 9 over-120

New York Giants 9 over-115

Indianapolis Colts 9 under-115

Cincinnati Bengals 8.5 over-120

Denver Broncos 8.5 over-120

Houston Texans 8.5 over-120

Minnesota Vikings 8.5 over/under-110

Philadelphia Eagles 8.5 over/under-110

New Orleans Saints 8.5 under-120

Detroit Lions 8 over/under-110

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 8 over/under-110

Washington Redskins 7.5 over-120

Arizona Cardinals 7.5 over/under-110

Los Angeles Chargers 7.5 over/under-110

Miami Dolphins 7.5 over/under-110

Buffalo Bills 6 over/under-110

Jacksonville Jaguars 5.5 over-120

Los Angeles Rams 5.5 over-120

New York Jets 5.5 over-120

Chicago Bears 5 over/under-110

San Francisco 49ers 4.5 over/under-110

Cleveland Browns 4 over/under-110

I'm biased but I think the only thing that can prevent the Titans from winning 11 or 12 games is another injury to Mariota. They've greatly upgraded their return game with Jackson and Davis is a beast. They have the best offensive line in the NFL and have no real weaknesses. If they were in a bigger market I have no doubt the media would be hyping them as a legit threat to have a big season.

They are begging people to take out the equity on their mortgage and bet Dallas over. Therefore the under has to be the play. Lots of confidence by the books to allow themselves a substantial loss if the Cowboys win ten games.

Seattle over. 4 auto wins in the division and split at worst with AZ. I wouldn't play at 11 but 10.5 is good IMO. I like Oakland too.

Fins over (defense is good and offense getting better) and Balty under (that defense was awful last year in critical moments and they don't seem to have weapons in the passing game).

Right on
they win 10 games easy.

Tennessee I like, think Houston will be overvalued in that division. I do not think Seattle wins 5 in the West, and they get the 1st place sched (GB, ATL, DAL)

Pats over 11 ...HUGE.... Find me 4 losses, never mind 5... I see 3 maybe...

----

I give them 11-5...with losses @ NO, Miami, Pitt, Denver, and OAK.... This figures them 8-0 @ home, which is 100% reasonable.

If they can flip one of those, they go 12-4, or maybe 2 13-3.
,
Upgrades all over the field, w/o any key losses.

The Jets at under 5.5 is nice....that team is the furthest away from being competitive amongst any teams in the NFL. I would say even further away than the Browns

I think even of those pats 5 losses you have they can easily win. 2 or 3

Oakland isn't even away it's neutral site

I'd say 7-1 at home just to factor in one off game, then all you need is 4-4 away for a push and 5-3 or 6-2 are not a shock at all

Same thoughts for their schedule.

just trying to be unbiased...i actually see 16-0.

Anybody else just love the Dallas under? I just can't see how they go over when a ten win season would certainly means massive losses for the books.

I don't really understand Baltimore 9.5. I would be inclined to under them but the line seems to really top out for them.

Carolina over 9 is enticing.

Agree. I would also say the Rams will be an entirely better team from a coaching standpoint. Rams alumni have been killing kindly Jeff the Fraud Fisher.
This team could have a bad year and still win 6.

I'm telling you guys, as bad as the Rams were last year, I say 85% of it was the cause of Fraud Fisher and his incompetent coaching staff. I've listened to alumini who have been in their meetings room such as Tom Mack, Dennis Harrah and Jackie Slater. They have kindly killed last years meeting compared to what they're hearing this year. Tom Mack said, last year was about assignments. This year it's about oline technique to fulfill their assignments.
McVay knows how to run an offense and Wade Phillips certainly knows defense. 5.5 wins in what has become a winnable division seems very doable. I think the Rams fall into the 7-9 to 9-7 category and with a little luck could be 10-6. Their schedule is not that tough.

On April 30th, the South Point Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada became the first sportsbook to post win totals for the 2017 NFL regular season. In the subsequent weeks, many offshore sportsbooks have posted their own NFL win totals including the market-setting Bookmaker.eu.
Since these numbers were initially posted by South Point, the win totals for five teams has moved by at least a full win: New England Patriots (11 to 12.5), Jacksonville Jaguars (5.5 to 6.5), Baltimore Ravens (9.5 to 8.5), New York Jets (5.5 to 4.5) and Tennessee Titans (9.5 to 8.5). That’s great news for anybody who followed my advice and took Jacksonville Over 5.5, Tennessee Under 9.5 and Baltimore Under 9.5 back in early May.
While sharp money is responsible for most of that movement, public money can impact the NFL win total market as we’ve seen with the New York Jets. According to the public betting trends from Bookmaker, over 90% of wagers placed on the Jets win total have taken the under — easily the most of any team in the league. That influx of public money (along with some questionable roster moves) has been largely responsible for the recent line movement.

titans over 8.5-135 for 10x : i like this team, I like the coach. They didn't give up last year and they should be even better this year. I got them winning the division. got them winning 10 this year
jets under 4.5+115 for 5x : as you guys said, this team looks like shit. I give them 3 wins this year.
balty under 8.5 +110 for 5x : they were lucky to win 8 last year and they look worse to me. i got them at 8 wins max and thats being very very generous. likely a 6 win team

adding two more team totals, and I'm pretty sure that should be it

Patriots Over12.5 ev for 10x: I can see 4 loses on their schedule, at Tampa, at Raiders, at Steelers and Atlanta. I think they are good enough to take 2 of these 4. 14-2 or better IMO for the defending Super Bowl Champs!

Falcons Over 9.5-130 for 5x: That loss last year hurt and I think the team is better overall, mentally! Not sure about the division they are in, its a wild card division as we never know who is going to be good. 10-6 shouldnt be hard for this team. I got them at 11-5 this year.

Surprised to see the Pats pick. I suspect they lose at least 2 division games

I can't argue there, I to Miami and maybe, one to Buffalo on an off weekend or something. They play Bills and Jets last two games of the season, and they will be favs, so I do have the option to hedge if Pats are 11-3 at that point

Indy Under. I expect them to be last in the South this year.
Luck won't make it thru a whole season unfortunately

agree. Holes all over the place for me. Might need another year or two to get back on track, IF Luck even stays healthy.

My book has that TT down currently

No doubt they run the AFC East. That's 6-0. Brady's only Kryptonite is the Mike High City, OH and Eli
