Pretty much a regular
Someone usually posts a QB depth chart for all the teams. It would be great to see the 2016 list if you have it.
Rams
Case Keenum
Jared Goff- Rookie
Sean Mannion- 2nd year
Dylan Thompson- Rookie
Fisher loves to say they're playing vanilla on offense during preseason. They ranked last offensively in several offensive categories during the regular season. What's changed from last seasons preseason other than cities and no Nick Foles?
Rams lost at Oakland 18-3
Rams lost at Tennessee 27-14...they scored a TD inside the last minute on a fluke play.
Rams lost at home vs Colts 24-14
Rams lost 24-17
Well now, Rams open up next Saturday night on ESPN vs Dallas. Fisher the Fraud is in a contract year. They have not signed him past this season for a reason. He's created momentum for himself during the offseason with a negligent dumping of very high draft picks to get a QB who isn't exactly John Elway. They're playing back in the city where they belong so there will be a tremendous amount of energy...Here are the questions.
Does the lame ass coach smell the coffee yet or is he willing to go vanilla again in preseason with a young team that needs confidence building? Does he continue to take a dump in preseason to (Supposedly) hide things or does he create a winning environment by picking up a few W's? A loser is a loser in my opinion. He's not going to play Case Keenum beyond the norm for a starting QB. The question is, how much does time does Goff get? Mannion in his 2nd year I believe will see most of the 2nd half in all 4 games. This offense is a flat out mess still. They have no true #1 WRs outside of Tavon Austin who is 5'8". They have a ton of rookie WRs playing for 5 spots. Kenny Britt who should be called Kenny Brittle is there and will take 1 of the 5 spots. Pharaoh Cooper and TE Tyler Higbee should be a great addition offensively eventually. The oline is missing starting RT Havenstein. They're really not revealing what his issue is. We haven't had an NFL Center since our Super Bowl years. Roger Saffold is one sneeze away from dislocating his shoulder or popping a knee. LT Greg Robinson has been a disappointment but I'm hearing better reports about his play thus far. Jamon Brown is the starting LG who is in his 2nd year and is an unknown.
Defensively, we have improved just with the subtraction of Jennifer Laurenitis. That's not a typo of her first name. How this guy remained as a starter is beyond me. Maybe the worst MLB I've ever seen in my lifetime. He was that bad. Never seen a guy intentially run away from running plays to engage with olinemen to look busy.
Dline is better without Chris Long as well. It says something when the guy was never named captain of this team or in the conversation for a Pro Bowl. Too light and became injury prone. The additions on the Dline and moving Olgetree to MLB are interesting. It could be a home run or Olgetree could prove not to be big enough to take the punishment. They have no depth at LB so this is an area to watch if they start losing players.
DB positions are pretty decent. Tru Johnson should have been a Pro Bowl player. EJ Gaines had a great rookie year but missed the entire season with a foot injury. LaMarcus Joyner is our midget FSU 2nd round pick from 2014 and is our 3rd DB. Safeties is led by hard hitting TJ McDonald. We lost a very good safety in Rodney McLeod.
I will continue to add to this thread as I get more info.
