NFL "20 Point" System

Loves2kickass

Here to cap the games
The "20 Point" system originated from a member of a different site who passed away last year. I have followed this closely for the last few years and thought I'd share here.

The point system is as follows:

● +3pts for every win allowing less than 14pts
● +2pts for every win allowing more than 30pts
● -3pts for every loss allowing more than 30pts
● -2pts for every loss allowing less than 14pts

If a playoff team reaches a minimum of 20 points at the end of the regular season, it's the golden ticket to represent their conference in the Super Bowl.

In last 26 years a playoff team reached the 20pt or more threshold 17 times and reached the SB. The other 9 times no team reached 20pts after the reg season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers off to the best start through the first 3 weeks with the max amounts of points (+9). That can quickly change in just a couple weeks but they're a team to keep an eye on.

They're currently the 7th choice on the Circa odds board to win the AFC Championship at +1850.
