New look jerseys

Pretty much a regular
The Vancouver Canucks have had no success in winning a Stanley Cup in the 37 years since they entered the NHL, but the club may be hoping another new uniform will finally bring them the championship.
About 8,500 people, taking advantage of free tickets and enormous hype, trekked into GM Place on Wednesday to watch as five of the team's most popular players skated onto the ice wearing the new uniforms.
They will look strikingly familiar to fans.
The jerseys carry the most recent orca logo on the front and the original hockey stick emblem on the shoulders. But above the orca logo the word Vancouver is written across the jersey.

The sweaters are in the same blue, green and white colours the Canucks wore when they first joined the NHL.

After finishing out of the playoffs since 2004, the Canucks advanced to the second round last season before losing to the Anaheim Ducks in five games.
The enthusiasm from the mostly under-30 crowd and the huge turnout of TV cameras and photographers almost made it look like the Canucks had won the Stanley Cup.

The Ottawa Senators were the first Canadian NHL team to unveil their new jersey on Thursday, with forwards Chris Neil, Brian McGrattan, Jason Spezza, and Chris Kelly on hand sporting the new streamlined look and updated logo.
The Roman soldier on the white away jersey - a staple since the team's inception in 1992 - has been given a new "game face," symbolizing strength and determination.
"The new look for the Ottawa Senators not only recognizes the team's past success factors, it builds momentum for a new season," said owner Eugene Melnyk. "This is the fighting spirit we plan to bring to the ice in the 2007-08 season and beyond."
The introduction of the updated logo comes in conjunction with the launch of the new Rbk EDGE Uniform System, adopted league-wide for the new season. The NHL and Reebok worked together to develop a new uniform system that is breathable, more resistant to water absorption and offering a greater range of motion to players.

I like the Sens new one.

Nashville's sort of continues to embarrass. TB's is sort of like their team, just kind of there.

And the Isle's may look better on than it does on screen, but what in the holy hell is Vancouver doing?

Think the Sens looks slick with the new Reebok style...

It's in case you didnt know which team they were by their logo... you need to be able to read though... 6 of one...

why the hell did the Canucks keep that stupid whale logo and add Vancouver at the top....if they were hell bent on addin the city's name, they shoulda put it at the bottom like the Kings uniform

As far as I can remember, Vancouvers been known as the team with the worst jerseys...Is it bad taste, or is it a brilliant marketing ploy?
