well interesting start to the tourney. Sergio Garcia shot the Gary Player course up with a 1st round [-8]. three are 4 shots back of him tied 2nd Charl Schwartzel, Mikko Korhonen and Mike Lorenzo-Vera [-4] then six more at [-3]

tourney match plays already a MESS ex for Sergio:
Sergio Garcia +105 [-8] over Rory McIlroy [even] 8 up
Thomas Detry -110 [+3] over Sam Horsfield [+1] 2 down
Martin Kaymer -110 [+4] over Charl Schwartzel [-4] 8 down
Tom Lewis +110 [+3] over Andy Sullivan [-3] 6 down
Haotong Li -110 [-1] over Louis Oosthuizen [-3] 2 down

will see what happens Friday :(

well Sergio Garcia looked like he was going to run off with the tourney Friday BUT had three bogies with one birdie his back nine for [-1] and tourney [-9] and a one shot lead over the South African Louis Oosthuizen [-5] for [-8]. my "cats & dogs" play Finlander Mikko Korhonen solo 3rd with [-2] for [-6]. Mikko "sprayed" on his back side finishing with three bogies or he would be tied for the lead :(

my match plays doing somewhat better as the Belgium kid Thomas Detry shot a 2nd round [-6] to recover from his opening [+3] and "The Schwartz" blew up with a [+6] to let Kaymer back in their match :)

Sergio Garcia +105 [-1] for [-9] over Rory McIlroy [-1] for [-1] 8 up
Thomas Detry -110 [-6] for [-3] over Sam Horsfield [even] for [+1] 4 up
Martin Kaymer -110 [-3] for [+1] over Charl Schwartzel [+6] for [+2] 1 up
Tom Lewis +110 [-1] for [+2] over Andy Sullivan [+2] for [-1] 3 down
Haotong Li -110 [-2] for [-3] over Louis Oosthuizen [-5] for [-8] 5 down

going into Sunday Sergio Garcia still with the lead [-1] for [-10] two up on Louis Oosthuizen solo 2nd [even] for [-8] with three tied 3rd at [-7] including my "to win" plays Thomas Detry [-4] and Mikko Korhonen [-1] along with "Big Bear" Lee Westwood [-3]. wind picked up Saturday and was swirling. the best score Saturday Ross Fisher with a [-5] for tourney [-6] solo 6th

The GOOD the BAD and the UGLY in my tourney match plays
Sergio Garcia +105 [-1] for [-10] over Rory McIlroy [+1] for [even] 10 up
Thomas Detry -110 [-4] for [-7] over Sam Horsfield [+2] for [+3] 10 up
Martin Kaymer -110 [ -1] for [even] over Charl Schwartzel [-2] for [even] tied
Tom Lewis +110 [+6] for [+8] over Andy Sullivan [+1] for [+1] 7 down
Haotong Li -110 [+3] for [even] over Louis Oosthuizen [even] for [-8] 8 down

"Big Bear's" first WIN in over four years so CONGRATS to HIM :shake:

I lucked out on Sunday with Kaymer catching "The Schwartz" to make a 3-2 on my match plays. better than LOSING :)

Sergio Garcia +105 [-2] for [-12] over Rory McIlroy [-1] for [-1] WIN 11 up
Thomas Detry -110 [+1] for [-6] over Sam Horsfield [even] for [+3] WIN 8 up
Martin Kaymer -110 [-1] for [-1] over Charl Schwartzel [+2] for [+2] WIN 3 up

Haotong Li -110 [-7] for [-7] over Louis Oosthuizen [-3] for [-11] LOSE 4 down

final tourney of this Euro Tour season the DP World @ Dubai, United Arab Emirates next week. Francesco Molinari probably has the top $1.25 million prize locked up BUT plenty to play for after that with 2nd being worth $1 million. #2 Tommy Fleetwood, #3 Justin Rose #4 Patrick Reed and surprise #5 Xander Schauffele fighting it out
