NBA Injuries & Issues for Wednesday

Linebacker/Strong Safety Lamar Odom has been suspended 1 game for his horse-collar on Ray Allen.

Luke Ridnour says he will play during the upcoming road trip.

Kevin Durant might play thursday, but he also might have a glove over his sprained finger...which hinders him.

"It's very uncomfortable; hard to grip the ball and it's hard to catch the ball because my finger is obviously hurting. Hopefully by next practice I'll be all right. I've just got to get treatment, and I'll play by next game."

my guess is, if he plays that he'll be 100%ish. If he can't grip, catch, or dribble reliably, he'll just sit out again.

Jameer Nelson came off the bench in the magic's last game.

"That was the decision for today. How long, or how far, we go with that, I don't know," Van Gundy said. "That's not my concern. We need to get Jameer feeling better and back to where he was playing earlier this season."

Ron Artest is apparently having surgery on his elbow today, and he'll be out for 2 to 4 weeks.

for some reason he mentioned that he wouldn't mind being traded to the knicks. Maybe he just wants to be nearer his kid.

"Anywhere I go, I can turn things around, given the opportunity," Artest said. "I definitely would not be opposed to it if that is my calling. I would not be opposed if something would happen [with the Knicks]. But I just want to win a championship.

The Cavs have sent Cedric Simmons down to the D-league.

bad news for cavs backers - Larry Hughes was not sent with him.
