Pretty much a regular
I try to look every day, but I do have a family to spend part of my life with, and I'm never sure I'll be here. I don't mind compiling this stuff, but all I'm doing is taking stuff from rotoworld, realgm, and a couple sites with detailed matchup info and putting it together for each game.
Please feel free to update this thread as news, especially of who is in and out, as it becomes available.
a couple key guys returned Monday:
Boozer had 24 pts, 15rebs, 5 assists, and 4 steals.
Mehmet Okur had 25 pts on 10 of 14 from the field.
This is against the Heat defense which, contrary to popular belief, isn't bad at all. The Heat just can't score worth a shit.
Anyway, looks like those injuries aren't issues, anymore.
Deron Williams had 24 pts and 15 assists. That ingrown toenail was hampering him, and my guess is this tear he's been on won't stop for a while. I can't communicate effectively how irritating an ingrown toenail is...nor how frickin orgasmic it is to get rid of. I can't imagine trying to drive the lane or shoot a jumper with one. That guy is TOUGH.
Joakim Noah returned against the Mavs. He had 7pts and 7 rebounds. I still think he's more of a liability than a benefit. I also think he should be brutally beaten with rods because of that god-awful suit he wore on draft night.
Acie Law played for the Hawks Monday night. He had 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Though, offensively, he couldn't hit shit in a craphole.
to recap some key issues from yesterday...
TIM DUNCAN is out for Wednesday.
NEWSFLASH: The Charlotte Bobcats still suck Mouse anus. 3 key guys for the Raptors were out, and the kitties still lost by 20.
ZaZa Pachulia took an elbow from Dalembert, and he left the game with a headache. I like Al Horford more, anyway.
Pistons @ Hawks
Hawks won at Philly on Monday night.
Pistons won @ Milwaukee Saturday and @ home vs Jersey on Sunday. Both were blowouts, and both times the stones played some inspired ball.
Stones are in the midst of a 4 in 5. Detroit has been Very Good ATS in B2Bs (both ends) for the last couple years. I can only guess that lines are smidged for them due to the B2B, and the games don't bother them.
At any rate, this is an extremely winnable game for this team a night before they travel to the Hornets for what should be a Very Tough game. If they can, they'll get out 20-30 pts again, and coast through the 4th.
JJohnson played 38 mins.
Marvin played 40 mins.
J Smith played 37 mins.
Childress played 31 mins.
Horford played 35 mins.
Pachulia got clocked in his 28 seconds of play.
Not sure being TIRED will be a factor, but the stones should already be in Atlanta, and the Hawks are flying back as I type this......if they're lucky.
Detroit is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games
Detroit is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games
Detroit is 2-5 ATS in its last 7 games on the road
Detroit is 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games when playing Atlanta
Detroit is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games when playing Atlanta
Detroit is 2-3-1 ATS in its last 6 games when playing on the road against Atlanta
Detroit is 6-2 SU in its last 8 games when playing on the road against Atlanta
Atlanta is 3-5-1 SU in its last 9 games
Atlanta is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games at home
Atlanta is 2-4 SU in its last 6 games at home
Pistons are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite.
Hawks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest.
Hawks are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog.
Underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings.
Detroit has allowed the third fewest points in the league at 92.7 per game.
Atlanta is third last in the league in three points made with 4.4 per game.
I have the stones -5.5 (-110). I don't think the Hawks will be able to get through the pistons defense. I think the motion offense the stones have gotten going will give the young Hawks, especially the guards, an absolute nightmare of a night. If the interior doesn't block out Maxiell, he'll have a double-double by halftime.
not to mention Sheed...who's been playing GREAT ball, and he's not been getting the technical fouls this year. It's like he matured about 15 years over the summer.
IMPRESSIVE. At any rate, I expect a 12pt win. or More. Also, lest we forget. The Hawks are bad, and the Pistons are Good.
