Even during practice, the Heat can't catch a break. The already short-handed Heat was down to eight players Sunday, with forward Luke Jackson out with the flu. His status for Monday's game against Toronto is uncertain.


Center Joel Anthony (quad) also is injured and might not be available. Shaquille O'Neal (hip) and Udonis Haslem (left ankle) remain sidelined. Both players were at practice and Haslem continues to wear a protective boot. Coach Pat Riley said he is unsure whether Haslem will play before the All-Star break Feb. 15. The Heat figures to enter the Raptors game with at least eight available players, the minimum required by the NBA.


''It's an ongoing problem,'' Riley said. ``I think that's probably one of the problems we've had all year. The guys starting in games very rarely ever practice because of injuries and stuff so it's hard to get anything together. That's why I think there's so much breakdown on the court. I think that has been one of our major problems with our mistakes.''
 
I'm relatively certain of the Raptors winning by DD, but this is an awful lot of road chalk...
 
Jameer Nelson has fallen out of the rotation in Orlando due to sucking too much ass on the court.

the Magic still don't play defense, but Arroyo & Co seem to be handling the PG position relatively well.......as long as no one presses them.
 
TJ Ford actually practiced with the Raptors on Sunday.

so what?

it's not like they're planning on bringing his ass back anytime soon. "maybe they bring him off the bench on Friday"....? ya, whatever.
 
Andre Iguodala has the flu, and he didn't practice yesterday.

be wary for tonight's game. If he can't go, that's a huge loss for philly.
 
Kevin Garnett is doubtful for tonight, and I don't think he'll play this week. Doc still sounds extremely timid about letting him play til he's 100%.

I really like ATL.. i mean... Nj is a better team in the standings(barely) and they were like -6.5 and now phil is only getting 5 with a possible weakend AI that doesnt make sense... unless the books know something I don't I will be on the hawks for sure

also like the Heat for the same reason.. I mean SA was -8 on tnt thurs and now raps are -9?! so does that mean raps are better then SA.. I dont think so...

I know these 2 reasons sound kinda strange but it is a new theory i m trying... GL Red
 
right now I think the raps are better than the spurs.

at any rate, the ML dog wins have been tough to come by. that's why I haven't had a thread on em in a few days.

Kobe Bryant didn't practice yesterday so he could get some rest.

expect him to play today, but who knows how this affects Gasol's ability to play with him.
