Paster of Muppets
Straight to picks tonight:

Whether the Knicks are laying 1 or getting 1, doesn't make a world of difference to me at this point, even though I would have wanted to grab the early line of course.
Anyways, I like it nevertheless. First of let me say I rate the Knicks as the better team here, and even though Orlando has had some solid performances so far, this should be a rather poor spot for the Magic.
The Knicks are a different team this season, I think they're going in the right direction this time.
The Magic are sitting at 4-1, and I have to admit, it's kinda surprising that they are playing rather well, but I wouldn't say they have been really tested just yet.

They have a secondary scorer right now with Lewis aboard, Hedo can be hot on a given night and Howard is a beast, who gives a whole new dimension to what looks like a classic small ball team.
I do love what NY brings to the table tonight, Curry and Randolph perhaps can't fully stop Howard but they can give him trouble (the NYK duo averages 38 PPG and 21 RPG this season), and the Knicks have several solid perimeter threats in Marbury and Crawford, which, at least in book, edge out Nelson and Bogans. Also note the Magic are not 100% healthy, Bogans had to be cleared by the doctors in front of the Raptors' game, Hedo had a mild sprain, Redick is still out. On the other side, Nate Robertson is slightly bruised as well.

Both teams have all their starters with a double digit point per game numbers, so this one will be interesting. Giving an edge to the home team coming off a rather emotional win (against Denver, following last year's brawl, and overcoming a 10 point deficit in the game), against a team in not so inviting spot (they've been on the road for 5 days now).

Knicks -1 (1.99 @ Pinnacle) 8 units

I know the Pistons are back to back but they should cover if you ask me. 8 points isn't a low number to lay but a 10 point win isn't necessarily asking for a huge blowout either. The Clippers are overachieving so far and it's because they had their health (sans Brand) and clicked well on the perimeter. One of the biggest reasons they started off well (still unbeaten after 4 games) is the production of Cuttino Mobley, who is out for tonight.
Corey Maggette is questionable. The Pistons had a tough game last night but I think they step up here.

Pistons (-8) (1.91 @ Pinnacle) 6 units

I may add one more later on. GL. :shake:
