Makes one wonder if the fix was in since they got The Admiral and then Tim Duncan later on. Both big men who've made it to the HOF.

Their were several other teams that benefit the league more.

The onus is on SA to build a team quickly to keep him there a long time, ala Giannis (looking at modern comps).

Duncan in 1997 was such dumb luck of a year The Admiral was hurt. The Spurs were a perennial playoff team from 1989-1995 before David got hurt.

Pure dumb luck there and that turned that into the "quietest" dynasty maybe in sports history.
