Think you can get way better odds on teams if ya wait till mid season and they hanging around .500 or been underperforming to that point. Looking at odds right now I just don’t see much at 20-1 or better I feel good bout but come mid season there be several teams w better odds than that I’ll think can make a run into playoffs, then who knows. Although now with greedy Assbag owners adding playoff spots I assume odds won’t be as good w more teams getting in? Just thought about that, another reason more playoff teams is stupid!
Right now maybe id dabble w Phillies at 30-1 and cards at 25-1.
I don’t think cards have much chance with their pitching, especially with injuries to flaherty and Reyes already (again!), but they have by far the best lineup in the central and path to a playoff spot should be fairly easy getting to play a bunch of games vs 3 teams who have no interest in winning games and their only competition in central a brewers team who has great pitching but a suspect lineup who not scaring cards.
Phillies are perpetually underachieving but man that lineup should freaking mash in that park! Nola/wheeler a damn good 1-2, Mets being overrated like always adds value to everyone else in division, Braves won’t repeat, 30-1 seems worth it, if they can get any kinda decent performance from the formerly terrible pen I think they finally make playoffs this year! Can’t remember how many games their pen blew last year but it was a lot!!
Certainly not saying either one those teams the best but I think both have really good chance to make playoffs, anything can happen once ya get into those so I’d feel pretty good having 2 of the NL participants at those odds!
