Pittsburgh Pirates* -147
vs Milwaukee Brewers x1
Pittsburgh Pirates* -1 -103 vs Milwaukee Brewers x1 ... Burnett (3-3, 2.57 ERA), though, has had some trouble getting enough support with the Pirates providing him with an average of 3.31 runs per nine innings. He gave up two runs and two hits over seven innings Wednesday but was outdueled by Seattle ace Felix Hernandez in a 2-1 defeat. Burnett had a 3.66 ERA in three starts against Milwaukee last season but was backed by two total runs and went 0-2.Brewers team that's dropped four straight after a 5-1 loss in Cincinnati on Sunday. Milwaukee (15-20) has been outscored 26-12 during the skid and 64-35 in its last 10 overall games, a stretch that began with the loss to Pittsburgh on May 1.The Brewers have been hitting a respectable .279 over the last 10 games and Ryan Braun had a 12-game hit streak before Sunday's defeat. Milwaukee's starting pitchers, however, have an 8.12 ERA this month. Estrada (2-2, 6.05) gave up a career-high eight runs in a 10-1 loss to St. Louis on May 5, and has allowed 13 runs over his past two outings, covering 8 1-3 innings. The Brewers gave Estrada two more days of rest and an extra bullpen session to prepare for Monday's start. He's 3-0 with a 2.70 ERA in six career starts against Pittsburgh but gave up five runs over five innings in a 12-8 win April 30. I like the way the Pirates are playing and I think the Brewers will have trouble with Burnett who has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last five turns and pitched six or more innings in all but one outing. The NL leader in strikeouts (66) has fanned at least nine batters in four starts and struck out at least six in every outing.

St. Louis Cardinals* -1 -131 vs New York Mets x2 ...Lynn is 3-1, 1.29 in his last four starts while
Mets are 0-6 when Hefner starts (0-4, 4.24). Cardinals have won the last six regular-season home starts by Lynn while the Mets have yet to win when Hefner has been on the mound. The Mets have been outscored 21-7 during their current three-game losing streak. The Mets are hitting .182 with runners in scoring position over their last seven games (8-for-44).

Colorado Rockies* +110 vs Chicago Cubs x1 ...Woods has been one of the most consistent starters in the National League this season. The lefty hasn’t surrendered more than three earned runs in each of his seven starts.Rockies finally broke out of their slump in a big way. Chicago is 7-11 at Wrigley Field this season. The Rockets are 11-7 on the road. They just beat a hot lefty in Garcia this past Sunday. Now they get to face a second straight southpaw in Wood. Nicasio has not worked more than six innings in any of seven starts, compiling a 4.72 ERA along the way. But he's 3-0 as he's been supported by an average of 8.13 runs per nine innings, the highest rate for any National Leaguer (minimum 5 GS).

Atlanta Braves* -105 vs Arizona Diamondbacks x2 ... two decent SP with Minor is 3-1, 2.73 in his four starts on foreign soil and Miley @ 1-1, 3.04 in his last four starts. The Diamondbacks have lost two in a row and have scored a total of just 11 runs over their last five games. Arizona boasts the best fielding percentage in the majors this season (.995). Braves are in a bad slump loosing eight of their last eleven road games. Then why in hell am I playing the Braves?? Well, I guess most of u know the Braves are my team, I think Atlanta is the best team in the National League and are a little better at hitting left handed pitching in this game. This is a perfect playoff preview and these teams are as evenly matched as possible. Miley walks a lot of batters and that should be the difference tonight. In games this close you can't let men on without them working for it. Three of Minor's four wins this season have come on the road. Dating back to last season, Minor has held his opponents to six hits or less in each of his last 12 starts and Justin Upton will be facing his former team for the first time since being traded to the Braves in the offseason. Upton, who leads the majors with 12 home runs, has failed to homer in each of his last 14 games and I think he has an outstanding game tonite.

Chicago White Sox* -113 vs Minnesota Twins x1...The Sox are last in the American League in runs scored and it appears that age is catching up with this squad in a hurry. However, they do have some bright spots on their team and one of them is today's starter Hector Santiago which I see as a huge edge in the starting pitching. He was moved into the rotation from the bullpen to take over for Floyd and he has been impressive. He's only allowed one run in two starts and both of them were on the road. His K/BB ratio in those games was 14-4 and he looked very comfortable despite the fact that he only has six career starts. Minni has played better than expectations this season, but they start a guy that's really been struggling of late. Hernandez comes in with a 5.96 ERA and 1.68 WHIP and has a terrible K/BB ratio. He also has problems keeping the ball down and has yielded more than his fair share of home runs. He's the kind of guy that a weak White Sox lineup should be able to hit.

GL blood. Another thing to like about Atlanta is that tomorrow's pitching matchup is a tough one for the Braves. Coming off three straight losses you probably get a good performance tonight. Kinda like the over as well.
