First thoughts ...

LAD looks expensive but Kuroda has been solid and Pitts bats havent impressed. Factor in the sweep at home but having its 1st cross country trip . With Duke on the road...interested in LAD if the price continues to fall...

Need sometime to read up Big Unit heard he was looking good but want to take a more indepth look and see what I turn up. Again though while Sanchez has really impressed me when DBacks face LHs take notice...might be an over with 7.5...

We go to Cleveland and Westbrook is pitching about as good as ever has. While Cle hasnt done much with the bats they face another LH SP which has presented problems. Possible 1st 5 inn Under but also looking at the game under....

No real opinion yet on Balt-Tor. Jays get swept at home then do something extraordinary and sweep at Texas if you saw there record @ Arlington u would understand my comment. Albers gets a spot start ...

Interesting game in DET. They are still looking for a home win and off an embarrasment in CHI. Have to think Leyland doesnt want anymore excuses. You face a young SP making I believe his 2nd ever road start and it could be a rude awakening. Bonderman is inconsistent so I need to check his splits vs Minny in the past...

Yanks will lose in Boston and that leaves kennedy in a nice bounce back spot. Like his makeup but for young SP TB top of the order can be cruel with the mix of discipline , speed and power. Going to arrrive late so wait till tmrw on that as well...

Another crazy schedule takes LAA from Seattle to Texas. Not sure whats up with jennings they already need togive him an extra days rest so beware....Santana I think has really struggled @ Texas if I remember correctly which we know his road splist are terrible..

Greg Smith is a solid prospect and did well in his 1st out @ Toronto who is supposed to hit LH well. I also think the Wsox will hit LH well so should be interesting. What I dont like here is Guillen I believe again held Buerhle out a few extra days. he did this for his 1st start so he could face Cle and Buerhle was terrible..

Washburn has a history of being better away but not interested in taking KC when they oppose a LH especially away. Today was a gimme with Liriano everything you read signaled Liriano was nothing close to his prior self. Better trip though when you avoid being swept at home...Grienke has been real solid...
 
AZ vs Sanchez .447 ba in 38 ab......az avg. 7.6 rpg in L6

SF vs Unit .304 ba in 168 ab....will RJ be on pitch count..Giants have scored 7 runs in each of last 2

Windy cond. in forecast...line on total should ? only go up
 
Good stuff IMGN. Commented on your excellent call with Seattle . Pissed I didnt pull the trigger with them..

Sanchez is a different pitcher this year and I wont weigh previous stats much with him. Regardless though Zona hits LH's. I dont think whether RJ has a pitch count here matters much depending on who is available in there pen which is pretty solid.

If the windy conditions are expected that might explain why it supoosedly opened at 8 and now stands at 7.5. Even though SFG is hitting my concern is can they hit good pitching. They kinda feel like the type of team who wont do much when they oppose quality SP's. Bowker has been huge and you would think RJ makes his life tough. Rowand and Durham have missed past few games. Would like to see the lineups and even with Unit I wouldntweigh past stats much cause you have to almost go back and see what years they occurred. Was it a time when he was battling his back or was it way back when...

Something to work on...for me
 
Will be playing that over in Pacc Bell as well. Cant imagine Randy being sharp. He should be good for 3 or 4 ER and Arizona is tearing the cover off the ball right now so. I actually like the Giants to win this game and the over
 
SN...Doubt that lh Bowker gets the start...SF #'s are career abs with a decent sample size..winds could/should be blowin out..didnt see the opening number at 8 and surprised a bit that the early birds hit the under tho understandable anytime SF involved..gl to ya sn..
 
Could be that SF ba imploded when RJ wasnt 100%...i dunno but small ball isnt a bad way to attack the BIG UNIT
 
Just talking outloud myself ...no concrete opinion yet...

Randy was fairly solid in his last AAA outing . I am big believer in fading SPs off the DL and di so with both Piniero and Liriano today . Just would hate to fade Zona against a LHP. Really like what I have seen from Sanchez so far .

Was thinking the might not start Bowker but I dont have the faintest clue who is or isnt healthy in SF.

Pretty interesting in how good RJ actually was last year in his 10 starts. His 3 away starts went only 6 inning but he was unhittable. take away his 1st amd last start and really amazing..

l think he did well enough vs SFG though..

The guys like Winn ,Molina , Rowand one would expect those atbats came in Units AL days when his numbers werent as good...even Aurilia isnt hitting at the moment and had some nice offensive years in the past...I guess everyone including unit and outside of Rowand who might not play is past there prime anyway...

Probably do some research tmrw and wait for the lineups....

texas/jennings. ervin santana and his 6.75 or so era lifetime vs the rangers not so good, he's never pitched in arlington.

he did pitch well on the road in his 1st start this year, interested in seeing if that continues or he begins to get rocked on the road.



red sox if the price keeps goin... indians have been struggling vs LHP this year, couple of big arms in the pen getting rest tonight as well. UNDER 9.5 possibly since Westbrook has been impressive early on
 
duke is not a fan of facing the dodgers. 7.99 ERA in 4 starts vs them. last year 1 start - 7.50 ERA. His ERA this year is deceptive since he has a 1.58 WHIP and OPP hitting .340 off of him...

kuroda is the key... he could screw the under unless the dodgers do most of it themselves is what Im thinkin
 
of course ive never seen kuroda pitch, don't know anything about him, but from reading the forum and from some LA fans here it seems like he going to be under the radar a bit, but a good pitcher
 
Oh hey by the way Renew - I've updated my spreadsheet a good bit, making it a little more user-friendly for baseball bettors. It now has a ML odds section that changes your risk for you, and also it tracks favorites/dogs now as well. I know you just got done switching all your plays though!
 
lol - I edited it so instead of different sports I tracked Favs/Dogs etc. and the odds I just type in like you said to do, no big deal man.
 
I think my favorite play early is the Indians ..

First Westbrook is pitching about as good as he ever has . It started in Spring Training and carried over. He pitched well in the past vs Boston at home and did nicely his playoff starts vs them. Cle has really struggled so far vs LHP but they are more underperforming then anything and Victor Martinez I believed missed half the games. Now you have REVENGE for CLE who was up 3-1 seemingly on its way to the WS when it all fell apart. Factor in Boston off the emotional Yankee series and probably didnt get to Cle until very late last night / early morning. Not sure about the weather today but it was terrible yesterday and that has to be edge for Cle to already play in those conditions. Lester has been solid in the past vs Cle and I see him as a solid backend of the rotation guy. His problem is command and BBs.

Game has become somewhat pricey but even at 150 I like making a play that I think would win something near 75 % of the time based on situation. Despite the lack of hitting from Cle -1.5 also has value IMO as Boston only scored 23 runs in 7 away games and 35 in 8 night games which includes yesterday.....
