The one under was by -2.5 points. Unfortunately the total at 5d is currently set at 231.5. In November, last time the Warriors played the Timberwolves, the 2 teams scored 245 points...

No way I'm playing Over 231 points, no matter what teams play and what angle... 58 points average a quarter? No thanks...

At first glance, nothing that I like on this card. The line in Charlotte appears to be a bit high... Expected no more than 4 points...

Warriors off a loss is obviously an extremely limited stat pool, but I do notice one little trend from it:

When the Warriors scored 100 pts or more in said loss, they 2-0 to Under in their next game.

When they were held to 99 pts or less in said loss, they're 4-0 to Over in their next game.

High total line vs. Minny maybe, but even as a preferred Under player I'm not tempted to doubt their offense off such a shitty outing.

(That pip's stats say they're 5-1 to Over off a loss vs. my 4-2, comes down to what lines are being referred to; but both "my" Unders were a bucket away from going Over.)

-----

Also, their winning margins off losses: 25, 4, 18, 34, 3 & 6 pts. Nothing at all in the 7-17 pt range = that speaks to all or nothing territory. Either they've played like they've been stung & hammer, or their previous outing hasn't inspired anything other than an average/middling outing. (They beat Cleveland by 34 on the road & Orlando by 6 @home, so the margins don't all simply reflect the quality of opponent.)

-----

Slightly larger stat pool trend: this season off an ATS loss in a game that went Under, GS have gone 8-3 ATS (5-1 away) & O/U 7-4 (3-3 away).

.

Couple of trends of note for Minny

- Off 2 ATS wins in their previous 2 games (as is the case here), MIN has gone 3-10-1 ATS (1-5-1 @home) & O/U 9-4-1 (3-3-1 @home) this season. Last time they played off 2 ATS wins (2 weeks ago) they were @home vs. the Spurs: lost 91-116 (+11.5/207.0). Fwiw they're 1-13 SU in these games.

- Off scoring 100+ points in their 3 previous games (as is the case here), MIN has averaged 99.8 pts (87.1 pts @home), going 4-11 ATS (2-6 @home) & O/U 10-5 (4-4 @home) this season. Last time they played off 3 straight 100+ pt totals (2 weeks ago) they were @home vs. the Spurs.

It's funny how Dwight Howard got caught with stickem on his hands this weekend. And he wonders why he can't make free throws?!

Interesting game but since this loss was totally different from any that went before it will take a lot of effort to figure it out.

Question for 3.24.16, or this Thursday: I saw Nbafan post a super situation trend for a play on the clippers. I checked scheduling for both squads and I don't see any obvious characteristic that makes this a super situation. Any thoughts/help?

Well for starters they are b2b after 5 away games. But what bothers me is that I'm not sure they would fly directly to Oakland after New Orleans. It would make sense for them to fly back to LA and then pop over to Oakland perhaps even on game day...and if they do that, have they really been "on the road" the whole time?

GAME NOTES
• Tonight is Game 4 of the Pistons' NBA-high nine-game homestand. Detroit is 2-1 since, winning the last two, including a 115-103 game Saturday over the Brooklyn Nets.

• The Bucks, though playing better as of late, stand six games back of the eighth and final playoff spot in the East. Milwaukee has won four of its last six, and is 5-5 in the last 10, but dropped a 94-85 game Sunday to the Utah Jazz. They are 8-9 on the second day of back-to-backs.

• Detroit's lineup is expected to be the same: Reggie Jackson at point guard, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope at shooting guard, Marcus Morris at small forward, Tobias Harris at power forward, and Andre Drummond at center. Jodie Meeks (shoulder) is doubtful.

• For Milwaukee: Jerryd Bayless, Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker, and Greg Monroe.

• Milwaukee is shooting 47 percent from the floor in the last 10 games, fourth among all Eastern Conference teams.

• This is the fourth and final regular-season game between the two teams. The Pistons are 2-1 vs. Milwaukee this season, beating the Bucks 102-91 Feb. 27 in Milwaukee.

its a semi super situation.... :hang:

its 4 games on the road, two days off... then one game at home on the 2nd leg of the home n home with the mavs

then back on the road the next day

just wish there was one day off instead of two between the home n home.... the mavs game on wednesday will be a good spot to take the blazers imo

Gonna be the first time in franchise history that the Spurs will lose after establishing a 20-point lead after the 1st quarter.

Lin had one of the best 4th quarter performances i've seen in a while

everything from scoring to rebounding to dictating pace... just amazing

and.... if you had the pacers ats.... hopefully you didnt see the final 5 seconds

lucky cover for indy backers

I think that Spurs want that perfect home record season, so they will focus mostly on that...
