Back on 1/12 - the Magic were talking as if they had found the magic (pardon the pun) elixir that would turn their season around: They were going to push the pace, because that is what they were built to do. Six games have passed since that proclaimation. The Magic are 6-0 OVER - but a miserable 1-5 SU and ATS. Prior to the proclaimation, the avg total in a Magic game was 193. Since the proclaimation, the avg total is 224. The market has posted a 200.5, 194.6, 213.5, 210, 206, and 204. It's clear that the Magic have not learned that playing at a higher pace also requires a change in defensive philosophy (not surprising as Jacque Vaughn is not a good coach). Is there still value in Orlando 'overs'? Tonights game @ Memphis has been painted w/ 209. 10 days ago, when these teams met in Orlando, the total was 194.5! Final score was 106-96 Memphis - total pts: 202. On the season, Memphis has played to an avg total of 199. Over their last 12, 198, over last 6 - 193. Memphis now knows what Orlando wants to do. Memphis is well coached, and catches Orlando on a B2B. UNDER is a consideration.

Great find,, i hadnt seen or read it and was wondering why their pace had grown,, just thought they were trying to keep up with everyone else..

thanks to cash for spurs 1st half over
and paulie for nudging me into my cavs lean
much appreciated

nets struggling so port maybe

mem line rising to 12.5 so lean magic but as pointed out above majic not in good form

sixers getting 13.5 against pels on a b2b after a tough battle with dall....i will not bet the sixers, i will not bet the sixers

celts on a b2b at altitude after a grueling game with the might warriors that they could have won....so three very tough games in a row and now the last game of a road trip (i think) before heading home having won two of them...c's in the best form of the year for them and young legs so they might give the jazz a tussle....but i think they lose and do not cover...but i have thought that for a couple games now and i have been wrong

clips playing at high level and i think doc's system is starting to take hold....(although i still think cp still doesn't get it)....denver on a b2b after fighting to the end and coming up short (we covered thanks to the last bucket)...don't know if i want to lay 12.5 but certainly not going to take the points

will be curious on the okc line....probably too high....14?...minn played atl tough or atl just lally gagged it....not sure which as i didn't see the game...did watch okc and once again their offense execution was poor enough to take them out of the game so it's hard to lay big points with these guys

Thanks BJ and an excellent write up and find smh.
Looking at the Kings against a knicks team that's hurting and should be without Stoudemire and Calderon. The Kings haven't played well with 2 days rest and are in the 2nd game of a 5 game trip coming from Golden St and also haven't played well since the beginning of the Month but have played much tougher teams and the next 3 aren't any easier. Good time to get a win playing the Knicks at the Garden a place that doesn't seem to bother the Kings. Look at the next 10 games for the Kings this could be the last win of the Month and expect a full effort. Not crazy about the 4.5/5 but it's doable

After they play Boston Utah faces in sequence At home Clippers who they have lost to 12 in a row GS 6 in a row Portland 4 in a row Memphis who they beat after 4 losses this season At the Suns who they have walked on I am not sure how interested they are in this game but think they want a low scoring game for rest

Memphis plays tomorrow in Dallas, that won them in Memphis just few days ago. Can easily see them winning this one, but failing to cover.

Witht the schedule, I would think the Jazz would bust their ass to win, as their prospects for the next 3 do not look great.

jazz shaping up to be a big play for me.....reasons

C's playing 4 in 5
5th on road (i think)
Coming off a fast pace come from behind game after 2 one point wins
Exum in lineup for jazz and they are playing their best ball
Utah plays d and has a big lineup
Boston does not defend the rim well
Bad spot for c's

large play on jazz
