If the fat fuck simply covers 1st base like every pitcher been taught to do since little league he was masterful. Obviously the entire team d let him down in the 5th but after the bases being loaded thanks to judge deciding since he hitting he doesn’t need to catch simple fly outs! Then the error to load them up he pitched fucjing amazing to punch the next 2 guys out, then he gets mookie to hit into what shoulda been inning over with no damage!!!! for some unexplainable reason he didn’t cover the fucking bag to get the out!!! God I love to hear him explain why he stopped half way while running to the bag?!?!??? If there was a double cheeseburger sitting on 1st I bet he woulda been the 1st guy there!! I’ve always hated him, if wasn’t for the fact I had a rather big bet on the yanks Ff -.5 I would have laughed, instead I was throwing shit!
of the million bad beats I’ve had as everyone who has bet bases as long as me has I think this might have been the absolute worst! 5-0 lead in 5th with a starting pitcher in total control simply dominating the lad lineup we get 1 single and 2 errors leading to bases juiced, he really goes into terminator mode striking out the next 2, so now we have a 5 run lead needing just 1 stinking out and he gets a easy ground ball from Betts but decides not to cover the base. Still it only 5-1 needing one out. He gets Freddy into a 1-2 hole and for some reason he doesn’t think to bury a curve or gas up one more his high 99 mph Heaters he opts for a lazy 93 down the middle to the hottest hitter in the playoffs! I’d say maybe he was tired but not like he used any energy running to the bag on the Betts play that shoulda ended the 6 out inning!! Of course lad gets exactly 5 to kill the -.5 Ff!! It’s hard fu be mad at Cole cause that was the greatest pitching performance I ever seen that resulted in 5 runs!! The fact he went back out and blanked lad for 2 more innings allowing yanks to retake the lead was nothing short of all time performances right there!
Not sure I’ve ever been so impressed by a guy yet also so mad at him at same time!! Even tho it should have never come to that the simple fact is if he covers his bag like any little leaguer would have done he gets 6 outs vs ine the best lineups we seen the lsst 10 years!! I have very mixed feelings bout Cole today!! Imo it was an all time type performance if he simply covers 1st!!! Being able to re-focus and give yanks 2 more scoreless innings was incredible. But just line rest the game his team let him down some more, when yanks scored the 1 run to go up 6-5 in 6th (of course a inning to late, they couldn’t just do that in 5th went lag pitchers gifted bottom yanks order some walks and gave Torres a chance w bases loaded to save my FF but of course yanks blew another great chance!
. Then while Cole goes back out and leaves it all on the field giving Yanks a chance to retake the lead! These assholes celebrated that sack fly to go back to 6-5 and get Cole back imo position to get the win I think he deserved, was cussing these morons cause knew they would need more than a 1 run lead to hang on with the pen vs lad. Stop celebrating and make another damb play!
Sorry I’m sure this incoherent rambling but I’m very high and so confused how I lost this 1st 5 bet! So confused how I rate Cole when he pitched one the gutsiest performances in history but at same time not covering the bad cost them everything even tho it should have never came to that!! How do to balance all this mess?? Imo a top 10 all time pitching performance in the WS but not covering 1st has to be part the story! Maybe at that point he just assumed the ball was gonna roll thru 1st baseman legs! Lol. How can you have a game where you all at once gained a ton of respect for a guy while also losing it???
I dunno if im more pissed about losing the yanks Ff -.5 as it was clearly the right bet, or more upset they cheated me out the chance to get one more big back as I couldn’t Walt go pound Yamamoto in gm 6 to finish yanks off! I made a good chunk of change this series, luckily I played lot more totals than sides. The last 2 games I hit lad 1st inning +370 amd yanks 1st inning +250 last night. Cashed the team total over in both games. I even hit Cole over 16.5 outs, I’m not sure there another pitcher that could have pitched 2 more fantastic innings after the 5th! Anyways ignore me, I’m on drugs and after calling the hell out this series and even tho I still made money last night I can’t believe the money I lost in the Ff . Moral of all this Cole took a performance of a lifetime and shit on it cause he was to fat and lazy fo cover 1st base?!
